He certainly can be boring. I enjoyed some of his fights though, win or lose.

He's just a grinder, if he can overpower the guy his style is plenty exciting (Diaz), if he can't, it can be a little slower (Thomson).

In that first fight, besides dropping Benson a single time, all Edgar managed to accomplish was getting kicked as many different ways as possible for the entire resr of the fight.

And before you say it, don't you dare say "Edgar caught those kicks," because catching a strike AFTER it struck, with full power, means fuck all for the scores.

I thought the first fight was kinda close but, I had Benson winning for sure.

The second fight though, I scored for Frankie and I thought the winner was more clear than the first fight.

It's always a treat to see Benson fight, and I don't think he's boring at all, In my eyes, I have never even watch him in a boring fight really. The way he throws hard kicks, throw elbows with no regard, crazy enziguri kicks, wild scrambles etc. he always come to bring it.

Nope. He's one of my favorites outside the cage and he's just fine to watch in it. That being said, most of his fights make me super nervous because he doesn't seem to push the pace much. But I'd say the same about his opponents.

I voted yes, because he doesn't really go for the kill and I rarely feel excited when one of his fights is upcoming.

I mean the end results could leave you frustrated, but I don't understand how 50% of people can find a guy who has so close of fights to be boring, keeps me on the edge of my seat going into every round assuming that it could be the one to determine the match.

The only boring fights that Benson has had were against Thomson, Gil and his second fight with Frankie.

If there's anyone who thinks that his fights against Pettis, Diaz, Guida, first Frankie fight, Miller, Bocek and Cerrone were boring, they need to find another sport to watch

First fight wasn't close and it wasn't a split decision.

I don't find him boring at all. He's in a very competitive division, has insane work ethic, isn't afraid to trade, has the cardio, polished skills, and makes any fight competitive.

Among the top 5 in the division, I expect fights to be close and the closer they are, the better it reflects on the match making. Judging isn't perfect, but completely lopsided or gimme-fights only serve to pad records and manipulate future fights. Nothing but respect for him.
