People complained because it was incredibly boring, which is the same reason why people complain about Dominick Cruz fights.

But let's pretend it's a woman issue.
it wasnt boring though, I really enjoyed the technical battle..... if you didnt like it then thats on you. The fact you find Dominicks fights boring shows you are pretty clueless about the product you are watching anyway, that guy is so unique to watch. yet is still underappreciated by people like yourself

Holly Holm hit air most of the fight, and Valentina had very minimal output. Outside of a few flashy kicks and 'spinning shit', most of which didn't land, we were essentially watching a light-sparring match where neither fighter wanted to commit. I didn't say I find his fights boring. I said people find his fights boring. I happen to be one of those people, but it's a widely held opinion among MMA fans.

TS has mommy issues or is socially awkward and has had bad experiences with girls
Too much inadequacy problems bruh

Holly was hitting air all night because of Vals control of range, and Vals output was perfectly acceptable.... she was undersized and was winning every exchange almost. That wasnt a light sparring match, both were landing big shots and even the shots that were blocked(ie the spinning stuff etc) were all thrown with bad intentions, so I dont get the talk of it being a sparring match. it was a competitive striking fight that Val had the upper hand in for most of it.

as I said you just seem pretty clueless about the product you are watching

The fact that you have an excuse for it doesn't make it any less boring. The fact that Holly wasn't able to successfully adjust and make it a more eventful fight and actually damage Valentina is precisely what contributed to it being boring. If Demian Maia held someone down on the ground for three rounds straight, I'm sure you'd be able to explain how it happened with all sorts of nice BJJ vocabulary, but that doesn't mean it was entertaining to watch. Yes, perfectly acceptable if you enjoy watching someone not engage. It's a matter a preference, not whether someone understands what they're watching or not.

Man the spinning backfist was perfectly timed I thought it landed untill the replay showed Holly masterfully pulling her hand back super fast to block it I was just going nuts.

yeah man that was beautiful technique, shame it didnt land

No i don't watch or "appreciate" WMMA, i mean i respect the fighters and all but i just dont enjoy watching it. WMMA is just too far behind on MMA, the female fighters are definitely less skilled and athletic than male fighters, and the suspense of a knock out is not really there. It's just an inferior version of regular mma and I would prefer if the UFC would just make all female cards, or even have them on the prelims except for title fights or something.

she wasnt able to adjust because Valentina shut everything she attempted down.... and no, if Demian Maia held someone down for 3 rounds Id call it boring, watching a technical striking battle isnt something I find boring though.... each to their own I suppose

Holly was countered by the same punch like 50 times last night. The fact that she is a gazillion times boxing champ and couldn't pick up on that and adjust is embarrassing.

I know, and that's an amazing feat. Putting the issue of entertainment aside, I did see a lot of skill/technique displayed in their match, so I won't take that away from them.

lets not pretend the girl she was fighting was some scrub though..... she just fought a better striker, something she's probably never had to deal with before. Val was much faster and had better timing throughout. instead of bitching about what Holly didnt do why dont we give props to Val for totally shutting down Holly's game?

yeah entertainment is totally subjective, I enjoyed that last night.... but Ive done thaiboxing and boxing for years, I enjoy technical displays. Same reason I loved watching Floyds boxing fights, some call them boring but I was always on the edge of my seat

May I ask how old you are? Serious question. I'm wondering if maybe this conversation is a bit out of your depth.
May I ask your gender and age? I'm wondering if maybe this conversation is a bit out of your depth.

I think I've completely dismantled your position as you had no more logical response.

I don't think they should allow any strikes to the face.

Oh, and make them wear some makeup too.

I enjoyed watching him dissect Canelo. For me, that fight had the perfect mix of technical brilliance and activity.
