Do yall believe in RDR yet?

was really impressed. not gonna go off the deep end after one performace, but he's definitlely on a short list of dudes to keep an eye on now.

every so often someone comes out of nowhere and puts himself right on the radar, after only one fight. i remember feeling the same way about fiziev, the first time i saw him.

Lets not forget that he was getting pieced up and had nothing for frking Meerschaert on the feet 2 fights ago and needed a finish in the 3rd round or else he would have lost. So how the hell
can he deal with the top dogs? His striking is atrocious, Bo is just as bad as we all knew he was.
No reason to think he's a top 5 guy but he's certainly a top 10 guy.

Cannonier, Allen, Chris Curtis, Michel Periera, Andre Muniz, could all lose to him. He is very big and experienced, so I think he might be able to surprise me and beat some people I'd not favor him over.

I had faith in dude

I watched him in One do his thing

Signing RDR, I knew he would be trouble for the MW division with his style and size

It was a tough fight for Bo to take, but lets be serious. If Bo would have smoke RDR we all would be saying give Bo a TS already who is gonna stop him LoL

Probably, unless Seans heart just isn't in it anymore kind of like what Nicksick alluded too. I think they'll make the Izzy rematch anyway since those two are kinda in purgatory and the fight will have some interest.
If Izzy could get that win back he could retire on a huge high, effectively erasing the worst loss of his career.

Then he can sleep knowing only Imavov got the best of him.

I feel like Strickland is going to do the Strickland dance nice and easy en route to a decision. Stricks has great TDD and I don't see the grappling being that much of an issue for him and he'll simply teep and jab away to a victory.
Yeah it's about how i see it too.

If your main gameplan is grappling it's gonna be really, really hard to beat Strickland. He's also not clueless in the clinch either and is a lot more composed than Bo is.

His striking is still really bad and i dont think he has great wrestling to take it to the ground vs the top dogs. But he beat Bo, will forever be a fan of RDR for shutting up that cocky retard.
I don't really understand why people say his striking's bad

Oh hes massively legit, I think he stands up well to most of the division really - his ONE losses were to a big, very good HW who seriously is probably on the gear. I think RDR has a great chance of competing for the title soon. He's not likely to get a top name next, but someone ranked like Dolidze would be perfect and then they can't deny him a top 5 guy, if he wins that, he can get a title shot for sure.

Only problem is RDR is 34. He's already almost past his prime. I don't think he's good enough to beat the top 5, and I don't think he has enough time left to improve until he physically starts to decline.
In what way? The guy already has the best grappling in the division after khamzat. It would only be his striking that holds him back if anything, but even then some. If RDR is able to take Izzy, Rob or Sean down consistently the fights pretty much over cause once RDR is on top of you it's VERY hard to get him off unless you have very strong grappling, he has VERY good top control.

He has a solid shot at the belt.

IMO he beats everyone easily except Rob, DDP, Borz, and make Caio.

All those fights would be wars

He lost a round to Meerschaert who is a journeyman with a lot of big losses and few big wins, but was able to get him out of there in the third. That did not bode well for a specialist. Holland is too small for middleweight and is a subpar grappler, so not much to see there.

IMO he's a really fun addition to the division, wish he arrived a few years earlier but happy to have him now. I'm looking forward to see him against name brand ranked opponents.

Love the Strickland fight, although I could see him getting teep / jab / dance out pointed.

He is a problem for everyone until he is not.. Then he was always a can

Exited to have a fellow countryman in the UFC again. I like his charisma, and the guy comes across intelligent.
I am not that impressed yet also having seen some ONEFC stuff, mostly as I think his striking defence looks sloppy and overall slow. Against better strikers he will be in trouble. His opponent was complete novice though, despite the hype.

Next fight will be the real test againt hopefully a legit top 5 fighter.

yeah i think RDR is tailor made for Sean's style. Sean's never been subbed and his takedown defense is probably the best in the division. his chin is obviously good too.
a very difficult fight for RDR - i admire him calling for it. dude has guts. but i think Sean wins.

Between DDP Rob and Borz, I honestly think Borz is the best matchup for RDR because Borz striking is even worse than RDR:s. And the fact his sheer size and judo + bjj skills has been proven to be fairly elite I can see him riding out the early storm Borz bring and taking over later in the fight.

I like how he carries himself and how he fights. It ain't pretty but it's pretty awesome. I'm not just saying this because it's Bo Nickal but that's an early Knockout of the Year contender for me (if body shots count).

Not sure how he measures up against the top 10 though.
