Do we really need JDS vs Velasquez 3?

No, he was completely outclassed and dominated for 5 rounds.

Cain got easily and quickly KOed in the first fight.

JDS got dominated and maul for five rounds in the rematch.

I think a rubber match is necessary at this point.
 
I think they should fight different guys for now, Cain should defend against Overeem if he wins, and winner faces Werdum. The rubber match should happen later.
 
Yes. Make 3. They're the 2 best Heavies in the ufc. Funny how the same people who said we didnt need a rematch cuz JDS would dominate jumped fence. Sherdoggers suck.

Look at the Chuck vs. Randy series though, in the first one, Randy totally dominated and finished Chuck, in the second, Chuck caught Randy being overaggressive and knocked him out, and the third was a toss up going into it.

If JDS wins a couple and looks good, there is no reason for him not to get another shot. Less than 24 hours ago people were calling him the greatest HW of all time over Fedor, now he doesn't deserve a rematch with a guy he has knocked out before in less than a round. People need to stop being so reactive. Rematches rarely go the way people think they will.
 
This is ridiculous. I see no reason if JDS rebounds where he should not be offered a rematch. Absolutely none.
 
I really don't want the UFC to get in the nasty habit of giving champions immediate rematches. After the loss JDS is no longer the #1 contender and must win a fight or 2 and I believe Cain only had to win one fight due to Overeem testing positive and lack of anyone worthy to fight so you really can't use that as an example.

it seems they are truly 1-1.
 
JDS certainly should not get an immediate rematch. If he has an impressive win over a contender after he heals up I would have no problem with him getting a rematch at that point.
 
Cigano got caught early and never fully recovered. In the first fight almost the same, except that Cain was finished. I say if Cigano wins against a top 5 he should have his rematch.
 
Hopefully JDS gets 2-3 fights before talk of a title shot again. He did absolutely nothing last night to warrant getting another shot @ Cain any time soon.

Not to mention the fans don't want to pay for a 3rd fight. Bring in fresh meat please...

Cain didn't do anything to warrant a title shot in one fight, but I didn't exactly agree with that. Nor do I really agree with the concept of immediate rematches except for incredibly close or controversial fights. I'd agree that JDS needs about two fights to rebound.

To be honest Junior had already visibly slowed before being hit with that punch.
I think JDS needs 2 top wins to get back to a title shot.
 
he shouldn't be more than 1-2 good wins from a shot. Lol u scared if u think he needs much more.
 
I really don't mind, but i would like Ubereem vs Cain first.

JDS vs Bigfoot then JDS vs winner of Uber/cain.

and yes I am looking past bigfoot, lol.
