Disgruntled Naughty Dog ex Employee releases entire TLOU plot and cutscenes *Warning: Spoilers*

Haven't read the spoilers but lemme guess;

Ellie is lesbian and there's enemies who are homophobic / fascist / racist?
That should be triggering for the gaming community as far as I know it, lol

Yes, but the Homophobic Christian Cult was rumored a month ago, and it received less than a hundredth of the attention the actual leaks have received.

The leaks themselves have pissed everyone off, including the communities that TLoU2 is trying to appeal to.

Are you saying there shouldn't be political aspect in reviews? In that case you couldn't give Wolfenstein: Young Blood, The Last Jedi etc. a bad review because your criticism would be towards the politics involved.
No I don’t think current political opinions should be a factor in reviewing a video game for what it is, and that’s a video game. Talking about deacon being too manly or whatever they wrote. Bitching about that cutscene where Sarah bends over and you look at her ass.

not really sure where you were getting at with Star Wars and other games tho. Of course in some games politics may be a main part of the story. However, when reviewing you’re supposed to be unbiased and neutral. Review the game for what it is, don’t inject your personal opinions

- He posted this on a video game forum, completely un-selfaware of his irony.
He's an edgy, useless troll. Pay no attention to him, the scum advocated killing a minor.

There is nothing political about wolfenstein or star wars unless you support nazis or sith empires

Exactly my point. It goes both ways. All the people crying about the woke culture / liberal politics in games but then get all butthurt when a critics let their own political views affect the rating of a game / movie.

I thought Cris Cyborg becoming the hero of The Last of Us 2 would be more over with MMA fans.

Slay 'em, Queen !

Naughty Dog and Sony have been trying to shut down online criticism by spamming bogus copyright and DMCA claims against anything related to the leaks.

They've been using a shell company called Muso TNT LTD to make the copyright claims.

A lot of YouTube channels got copyright strikes, had their videos summarily deleted and lost live streaming privileges and super chat money just for talking about the leaks. This isn't even a fair use argument as they didn't show any of the leaked material. They were just criticizing Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann.

Anyway, this dude managed to beat them and get the strike removed from his channel.

Gimme a break. There's plenty of grounds to criticize The Last Jedi even if you ignored all of the cringeworthy forced diversity.

It's a totally incoherent story that ended most of the plot arcs set up in TFA and it took a giant shit all over established canon. Rian Johnson fucked up Luke Skywalker so badly that Mark Hamill was on the verge of a nervous breakdown during the press tour.

IMO The only reason people are invested in defending that movie is because of the politics at play. I've never heard any of the people who claim to love Rose Tico as a character explain why without using the term "representation."

That's not hypocrisy at all. The issue isn't that reviewers/pop culture critics have political opinions. It's that they let their politics dictate how they review media instead of the quality of the media itself.

There's plenty of trash that critics are willing to defend these days just because the game/movie/TV show represents all of the right categories in the diversity checklist.

They're likely getting caught up in a very indiscriminate algorithm. I'd imagine they're trying to scrub the internet of anything that has "TLOU2 Spoilers" in the title, or whatnot.

Can't blame them, TBH. It's a pretty catastrophic leak for both companies, and if any of us were in charge over at Naughty Dog or Sony, we'd be doing the same thing. They're not some rinky dink indie developer. They've got muscle, and they will use it to at least attempt to mitigate the damage.

Nope. Some of youtube's ubernerds did investigating into the source of the flags (after the first several days) and found they were manually submitted. Now that the number of videos has increased exponentially, its possible that Naughty Dog has added in an algo into the mix.

Looks gorgeous ,but they obviously showed nothing of that “thing”

Surprised to see the real main-character being void in this trailer.

Playstation disabled comments and likes/dislikes for their new trailer
