As an InfoSec professional, this makes me laugh. It's a headache but it's basic industry standard to have mandatory MFA for logins as part of a defense in depth strategy.
 
Yeah sure then I guess we'll stop being warned, dubbed, or threatened for talking about banned posters if mods are able to do things like that and it's just fine.

There is probably context in each example.
You get banned for taking about the Boston dude but I guess that's just protectionism from some vague, undefined legal risk.
