Complained and now there's no dildo ads
Nah that's bullshit. Outbrain gets paid to advertise shit including sex toysNo, that’s only if you’re gay and your cookies store data indicating that you’re gay. Like searches for gay sex.
Paid or not, internet ads are pretty much always targeted based on your browsing habits. And by pretty much, I mean always.Nah that's bullshit. Outbrain gets paid to advertise shit including sex toys
Dildo or not; literally 0 of the ads I'm getting on this page are related to anything I've looked up or searched.Paid or not, internet ads are pretty much always targeted based on your browsing habits. And by pretty much, I mean always.
It doesn’t work like that. It isn’t a “You searched for BBQ so we’re going to show you ads for BBQ places.Dildo or not; literally 0 of the ads I'm getting on this page are related to anything I've looked up or searched.
Do you know why I’ll see ads at the bottom of the page at times on here . A few months ago I posted this, a admin wanted a screen shot I sent it and still I see them .This should be resolved now. Thanks for everyone’s patience and enjoy the site.
This should be resolved now. Sorry to hear this, buddy.Do you know why I’ll see ads at the bottom of the page at times on here . A few months ago I posted this, a admin wanted a screen shot I sent it and still I see them .
Yep been dildo free for at least a week or two nowThis should be resolved now. Sorry to hear this, buddy.
Are the ads you see page-bottom only and across the board or only in certain subs like S&C? And can I bother you for a screengrab again?
We’ll get this sorted for you.
Shit, I got the dildo ad.It doesn’t work like that. It isn’t a “You searched for BBQ so we’re going to show you ads for BBQ places.
It’s more like “Ninety-five percent of the people who searched for BBQ also clicked on this ad for dildos, or went to this dildo emporium’s website. Your browsing habits suggest you are into BBQ, so we’re guessing you’re also into dildos.”
That’s a gross oversimplification of it, but that’s basically it.
Reports about bad ads should include the following:
1. Location/Country
2. Device
3. Browser
4. Company/Product of ad
5. A screenshot if possible
6. Brief description of how the ad is a problem
7. Page/Pages affected8. Date and time of occurrence
Refer to the instructions for your device on how to take screenshots
