did natalia silva surpise anyone else?

Yeah but seeing how capable grasso has been on her way up, very surprisng she seemingly had no answers for silvas movement

Surprising, but at the same time, maybe not. Grasso hasn't had to fight anyone who moves around a lot since Felice Herrig, and that was like 8-10 years ago. Araujo can move well but only for a round or so before her gas tank dies, everyone else Grasso's faced has either gone at her or stood in front of her for the most part.

Not surprised at all. Grasso's family runs a gym that seems to focus on boxing only. She had one game plan which was to follow her around and hopefully land something lulz

Her fighting style sucks, she's just fast that's all. Reminds me of that point-fighting SW Yan. Without the speed she's just fucking terrible. UFC needs to stop rewarding runners and point fighters.

Nope. Been high on Silva since the Jaz fight. She is a nightmare for these girls. She's gonna run through all these contenders. She's strong and her TDD and grappling is good to go along with the crazy athleticism and quick striking. She is the next champ.

I also think Grasso was never that good and if it weren't for a combination of Valentina having random shit fight IQ and a gift from the judges, She lost like 11 of the 14 rounds they fought.

She's likely gonna get worn down by Blanchfield, lose a striking fight to Rose, out muscled by Manon, etc. She has an uphill climb to win in the top 5.

You can not like her style, but to say she's just fast is ridiculous. She's landing every type of kick and punch while darting out and feinting. She can grapple too.

On a big win streak and is attractive she will get a push. But its Val vs Zhang next and if zhang wins there will be a rematch . Her path to a title shot likely takes over a year.

She did to Jasmine what she did to Grasso. Not on her level. Andrade is not a serious fighter. She fights for the money. Easiest bet of the card.
Nobody has beat Andrade that decisively.

Not a serious fighter ? She had 3 title shots, 4 FOTN bonuses and 6 POTN bonuses. Fighting for the money is the entire point of prize fighting.

Wow she made that look easy Grasso, a former champion who had a pretty competitive fight for valentina before getting stomped in the 3rd fight.

Probably the obvious pick for the next title shot I'd imagine. even if she doesn't beat valentina now, Her future is looking super bright
No. Once she absolutely neutralized and KO'd Bleda i knew that she is going to hold title one day... Only thing which surprised me was that Grasso landed few good strikes aswell and survived up to decision.

She's very skilled. Although she moves a lot, at least she throws hard. She has great kicks too.

I was impressed for sure and would like to see how she'd deal with somebody who'd do a better job at cutting her off and using low kicks to minimize her movement. I want to see her challenged in the grappling dept as well.

If Val beats Weili, she should be next.

I don't care if she's winning, fighters who just run around and point-fight just suck.

From the comments, sounds like a snoozer. So...who looked hotter?

Nah. I expected her to be champ material after she embarrassed jazz in her debut fight. I'm surprised they made her take such a long route to the title.

Grass wss always going to get pieced up if she couldn't get in the pocket, and she's never shown a great ability to coral good movers

I found it entertaining, she was clocking Grasso good, Grasso has a chin she straight up got sidekicked in the mouth. I guess if people aint getting rocked constantly or knocked out then it isn't entertaining to some but eh. Also I couldn't stop looking at Silvads butt.

We don't know because she circled and ran away for 3 rounds and spent a tenth of that time hoping in to land a 1-2 then back out of range.

Would've been an awful fight if it weren't for Grasso.

I think fights like this shouldn't be scored for the person that only moves and doesn't pressure or engage.

if she fights Val, Val will just stand in the center and pivot around like Romero would do.

She'll now be in a deserved #1 spot at flyweight, just like Virna is in her deserved #1 spot at strawweight, and considering both divisions have a clear contender for the champs, I suspect the UFC will do what it does best by ignoring that and making them both fight backwards while the company takes way too long to put together a champ vs champ fight. Bonus points if that fight never happens because one of the champs pulls out due to injury.

So how about when Zhang Weili took her out in a few seconds?
Or when the other Chinese girl ko'd within 1 round as well?
she landed some good strikes in the Xan fight, in this fight she didnt accomplish anything while getting dominated on the ground, which I consider a higher margin of domination then just simply getting caught by a strike
