Oh really? AJ hit him directly with a huge uppercut to the body in the first fight I believe it was. Then he hammered his body with a sustained attack in the rematch. Did Usyk go down or look seriously hurt by them? No. In fact, the body shots didn't even slow him down. He came out the next round reenergized and closed the last few rounds strong. Gassiev was targeting his body in their fight at cruiserweight. He also couldn't take his legs and he tried.No. Actually it's the opposite of what you say. He didn't take the body shots well at all. I am beginning to suspect this has been Usyks tactical trick throughout his career to protect his 'glass belly'.
I posted this before, he actually pulled he exact same move against Joshua and started hobbling around the ring for a timeout after a hard shot to the body. At the time it was questioned as 'borderline' but people gave him the benefit of the doubt, but in light of this it looks suspect.
