IMHO, Usyk vs Fury 2 and Bivol vs Beterbiev 2 were -even- better performances than Bud's

Pretty much this.

As I think they fought even tougher opposition:
Fury's sheer size difference and Biev's ability to march you down with his insane power even hitting gloves (as happened in the 1st).

Even Usyk - Dubois 2 has a case, though it seems now DD is a can because Usyk did easy work.
Remember what he did to AJ.

Bud vs Canelo felt pretty manufactured. Is a win over Janibek way more impressive for Bud to anyone with serious knowledge of the game? Of course but Canelo is the big draw. Canelo hasn't really been facing the top guys at 168 ever and hes more of a true 154-160lb guy, even Bud said he fought Canelo at that weight because there wasnt really a size difference and Canelo isnt exactly "bigger" than him....Bud was always huge at 147. Canelo has been slowing down for years and if he fought top guys regularly would have had way more losses...a very carefully curated career.

Bud didn't fight Spence until Spece had a near fatal car accident where he was out for 2 years due to injuries before returning to boxing and he left the division before facing Boots Ennis. Buds career lacks a lot of signature wins I think for how great hes considered to be. They're both old, have protected their legacy for a while and this fight was for the bag.

Inoue vs Nakatani will be a far superior fight because it's two true guys in their prime, champions, top 10 p4p chasing the huge challenge. Bivol vs Beterbiev was huge, what Usyk has done is huge. But the mainstream media of boxing is always Western based, its Latinos, Americans and Brits who matter the most. So, know, thats how things get weighed.
