Dennis Hallman > Matt Hughes ?

Hm, I really dont get how you can say Nog got 'destroyed' in the second fight. Sure the finish was gruesome, but before that Nog heavily rocked Mir on the feet and was actually pretty close to finishing the fight.

Mir destroyed his arm. Kept him out for about 10 months.

I'd pick him over them, yes. Cro Cop never did have the greatest TDD, I see him getting taken down and subbed by prime Mir. and Barnett was a wrestler. Mir on the ground vs Barnett = Mir via sub, imo.

However, I freely admit I could be wrong. Cro Cop and Barnett were both brilliant in their prime, and I really wish we could have seen those fights happen.

The first part of your story is shite, but you know that

The second part I 100% agree

No it's not. Nog is better than Mir. His career trumps Mirs. That's all that matters. Nog is the 2nd best HW ever. Mir isn't.

Um wrong. They were competing against different people most of their careers. The only way to match them up is when they fought eachother. Mir beat Nog twice and was a UFC champ and interim champ.
We are not talking about a guy like Hallman who never made it to the top of his division. We are talking about two former champs who squared off twice and each time Nog was finished in devastating fashion.

Um not wrong. Mir has 3 or 4 ranked wins ever. Nog has over a dozen. You can choose to turn a blind eye to this but historians and fighters will look back and hold Nogueira in a much higher light than Mir.

i never said he was in his prime you moron.

just pointing out the revisionist history and bias some of you obviously have.

i agree that nog has the better overall career but he isn't the better overall fighter. no version of nog beats the Mir that subbed and knocked him out.

you were implying he wasn't washed up,you moron.

what do they call a guy past his prime? washed up.

I think throughout this whole discussion, we've been neglecting to mention Jim Cozad.

no, hughes has a legacy that hallman can't touch, right place right time? maybe who knows.

so a fighter is either in their prime or washed up?

you are an idiot. i am done with you. you know nothing.
