Social DEI is so dead

Pointing out that racists oppose anti-racist programs =/= racism
You didn't do that

Unless you are doubling down and saying all white people are racist

It's pretty racist of you to group and entire race of people as having one homogeneous view

You seem very angry about and have some kind of inferiority complex about white people

It's not good to go through your whole life hating an entire race of people

That's exactly what I did. No one said all white people are racist except you. You seem angry.

It's what you clearly wrote.

I get it. You approach life from an incredibly racist p.o.v. so you assume everyone is like yourself.

It's not what I wrote, its what you projected onto what I actually wrote. Its alright, you harbor some sensitivities, perhaps just a touch of fragility, I get it. But that sensitivity that causes you to read one thing and think it means something from your own feelings is not my responsibility.

“White opposition to anti-discrimination programs is just them saying they should be able to get the whole pie if they feel like they qualify for it.”

Well this is embarrassing

Be more careful with your language in future if you aren’t racist.

Funny a guy who projects his own racism on to white people accusing others of projection

Remember, if Andy and Sinister are droppping laugh emojis on your posts, you're saying the right thing.
Sinister is clearly racist as shit against white people and projecting his racism onto others

I get we let a lot go on this forum and that's cool

But such a raging racist shouldn't really be a mod. That doesn't sit right

DEI's death will be finalized on Election Night 2024 in only 45 days.

If the DEI nominee wins, I suspect it'll be back with a vengeance.

Diversity is fine. But if a company has a mission then everyone needs to be on the same page and work towards that goal. Unity is more important than diversity. I don't even see how diversity comes into the equation.

Yeah it is, if you actually look at SAT scores

Obviously the scores for blacks and Latinos is gonna be lower, if it wasn't there wouldn't be a need for these programs. But it's not a dramatic difference.

The average black student has something like a 1400-1450 while the average white near 1500 and average Asian 1550. Where are the vastly unqualified sub-1000 students? And if you've ever taught at a high school (I have), you'll know that the difference between a 1450 student and a 1550 student is absolutely negligible. They're both extremely bright and dedicated.

So evil Affirmative Action was just giving very bright blacks and Latinos a small bump over very bright whites and Asians.

Uhmm that's not true at all. Princeton did a study and found Asian students must score 140 points higher on the SAT than whites and 450 points higher than Blacks to have the same chance of admission to private colleges.

It's because DEI is synonymous with incompetence and injustice. Any meritocrat is disgusted by the idea of DEI. Anyone who was hired because of their appearance or some other superficial attribute cannot be taken seriously.

Link?

That just seems crazy from a statistical point of view. It'd mean the average Asian had a 1450 while a black student had a 1000. And the average, overall SAT score for all students at the Ivies is in the high 1400s to low 1500s. If the black students' scores were so much lower, it'd mean that Asians and whites all had perfect 1600s (and blacks dragged the overall average down to that high 1400-low 1500s range).

It'd also be weird that they would differ so much from Harvard's score distribution, which is the graph that I posted. Harvard's population make up and scores are pretty much in line with all the other Ivies.

"A 2009 Princeton study showed Asian-Americans had to score 140 points higher on their SATs than whites, 270 points higher than Hispanics and 450 points higher than blacks to have the same chance of admission to leading universities."

Another Harvard bias court case showed that every time Harvard increased admissions for any minority group, it suspiciously never decreased admissions for white students, just Asians.

If black and Latino students face more discrimination than white and Asian students, why are the Asian students also disadvantaged against WHITE STUDENTS who are the most privileged?

Work does so much non-work stuff for DEI or other idpol purposes. I can't imagine it is profitable or effective in anyway. Ex. Hispanic Heritage Month just started a week ago and in preparation for it the Hispanic ERG took a month to prepare:
  • Hand drawn flags for each of the lunch areas and lobbies
  • A list of Hispanic owned businesses in the greater Boston area
  • Company-wide presentations about notable Hispanic engineers
  • A white paper on the history of Hispanic markets
  • Reading/watching list of Hispanic books and movies to explain the culture
  • A speaker on the growing importance of Dia de los Muertos for 1st/2nd generation Americans to maintain their cultural roots
Every couple of days over the next month there is something they are asking people to stop working and join in on ... because of ... I dunno. There is an irony somewhere that we've been doing this while scrambling to block all Russians from our software due to new sanctions.

It's not just a lefty thing either. One of our Cxx people is a veteran and does a lot for military support. I'm sympathetic given some people I know, but it's not a work thing. Do it on your own time.

They are letting it be. White flight isn't illegal.

White people move into a neighborhood and make it better, it’s gentrification. They move out and let the neighbourhood rot because Tyrone and his homies moved down the street and is causing all sorts of trouble and crime it’s white flight. lol literally no winning
