BJJ - Killer Tuesday

A little different today, class was run by a different black belt.

We did a shit-load of 1-minute rounds with 1-minute in between.
First set - standing, premise is tie match with 1 minute left, next score basically wins.
Then 90-second rounds.
Second set - closed guard, guy on top has just scored a takedown so guy on bottom needs to score points.
Third set - closed guard, but now the guy on bottom is up and stalling while the guy on top needs to pass/score.

No clue how many we did. This was well over an hour of class.

Four 5-minute live rolls to end class.

Less dead than last week. Not sure if my cardio is improving or if it was just the lack of burpees.

Greyskull Week 5/Modified Day 3

**I got a vein treatment on my left leg on Thursday, so need to take a couple days off from training legs, so I did Day 3 as an upper body only for this week**

I don't know if this is what these are called. It was a small functional trainer and I dropped the handles down the floor, stepped out a step or two to get tension and then did curls, holding a handle in each hand. This felt heavier than I expected, because these things are usually 2:1 or even 4:1.

Got about 13K steps today.

Started feeling lousy on Wednesday. Just a really bad cold/congestion, but I've been exhausted and dripping snot. Today I felt mostly human and good enough to get this quick session in. Still not 100%. Not sure if I'll try BJJ tomorrow or just take a rest day. I'll see how I feel in the morning. Leg should be good to go to squat Monday and get right back into Greyskull.

Quad actually felt good today. I think taking the week off and that new stretch helped. The stretch is just me down in the hole with the bar on my back for 30 seconds. I do that 3 to 5 times. When I pulled my quad it was at the very bottom so maybe stretching it down there where the pull occurred is what I needed? IDK.

I finally got a hold of the PT. They never returned my voicemail and I was waiting for 2 weeks just for them to say they are booked until May. lol. Now I need to call the VA and they need to refer me to another one. Pretty unprofessional of them if you ask Ol Rex.

Killer Tuesday

King of the guard starting from standing. I think we did 15 minutes. Hit a sweet front headlock takedown on a wrestler then got him twice more with it later on.

Shark Tank - 3 person, 6 minute rounds. In for all of one round with the other two alternating in anytime points were scored or you went 2 minutes without points.

Two 5-minute rolls.

The shark tank killed me. I died. I'm dead now.
