Social Dean Cain complains Superman Movie is too Woke & Pro-Immigration

I just like putting faces to names and sometimes, the curiosity of what some of these slobs look like drives me nuts. Can you imagine how ugly and pathetic @Mack Yancy is irl. He’s fat, for sure and has bad acne scars because he used to pick his scabs and eat them.

You're laying on your belly with your feet kicking back and forth wistfully wondering about another man's appearance on the internet. I bet your draw sketches of what you think I look like when your wife isn't looking. It's clear to everyone now, even those who like you that I'm deeply deeply in your head. Maybe it's time you took a break, champ.

Nah. You're just a bait artist and we're tired of your shit.

There's an art to this? You've went and made posting about Dean Cain sound refined.

No but seriously, is Dean (Tanaka) Cain not the actual baiter, here? The man doesn't have much of a film career. He joined the police force at age 51, and the only time he can get people to listen to him is complaining about iterations of Superman that aren't him.

You do realize that the immigrant in this case is a white guy who speaks English, right
Yes, though I suppose he is also a cryptonian fwiw. Did you think the guys complaints were not sufficiently about wokeness?

Gunn is an idiot. I haven’t seen this film, but basically likening superman to an immigrant is problematic for pro illegals if you actually think about it. Superman was an illegal immigrant with the power to destroy the world(or to save it) but he is definitely different and dangerous to the natives. Maybe that’s not the narrative you want to put out there?

Well... but that's always been the tension of Superman. The character was created by two young Jewish men in 1938.

What do people think the Superman story was even about?

There's a great novel by Michael Chabon called The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay (2001 Pulitzer) that gives a great fictionalized version of the personal, social, and political soup from which Superman emerged. Highly recommend. (I honestly feel it's a book that a lot of Sherdoggers would appreciate, regardless of politics and other such factors.)

Two of those cases are clear genocide, the other is ethnic cleansing and mass slaughter bordering in it. Note that I never mentioned genocide.

I take the deflection as ethnicity and culture matter in your estimation of those fleeing mass violence and death deserve asylum and refugee status.
I'm mocking you for trying to wedge Palestinians into this. Their ruling political party is Hamas, and the people overwhelmingly back that group. No, asylum should never be granted to a people who instigate a war with an unprovoked terrorist slaughter against a sovereign nation's civilians. FAFO.
yep, fictional characters & stories are notoriously bereft of allegory, metaphor, & subtext, especially in fantasy/scifi

Yep, none whatsoever....

As I pointed out in my post, every single video you linked is a provocation of the Gunn interview. Criticism of this movie as "woke" prior to him invoking the "immigrant" label is nonexistent. Nothing inherent to the movie instigated any pushback prior to that. The interview Gunn gave outside the film introduced that element.

Also, for the record, I went and saw the opening tonight. It was not woke. Typical Superman geopolitical ambiguity at play (another thing that has been a staple of the Superman franchise).

If I were to offer a criticism, it's that it's a little bit of a mess tonally. There's an awful lot of silly stuff going on throughout, but there's some genuine misty eyed sincerity and emotion in there, too, and there are times when one distracts from and undermines the other.

The righties should probably find some comfort in the fact that Clark's adoptive parents come off as the real heroes in the story, and I feel pretty confident that they voted Trump (or would have in our universe).

Woke Superman:

Superman is an illegal alien that illegally entered Earth.

Later, more illegal alien thugs come

The world is nearly destroyed from illegal aliens thugs

Many die

Illegal aliens bad

Except the fact they are calling it a woke superman movie in all of the titles and thumbnails. None of these videos are called just 'Woke James Gunn' or 'Woke Gunn Interview'.

Regardless of what these grifters actually believe about the movie, they are absolutely calling the movie itself woke.

Mel Gibson to direct and James Woods to Executive Produce.
Gary Busey and Randi Quaid should be in there somewhere.

Your name isn’t N.H.B Bear the third?

Well, my real name is. You know that from our time on that message board that I can’t remember the name of. When the old OT closed and we wanted to keep our group together

Ive said that for many years about forums.
If you saw what most of these mongrels looked like, you wouldn't even factor in their opinion.

Maybe we should have a sticky thread of our pics(if you choose to) like Mayberry. @Andy Capp why don’t we have a sticky with our pics if we so choose?

Oh, someone doesn’t like their own medicine. You’re the one that tags me all the time in threads I don’t go to because you want attention, you fucking child. And I fucking bet you don’t have the stones to post your own pic with a sherdog sign, pussy

Yes, because Gunn provoked it by starting a partisan foodfight an an interview external to the movie.

Do you understand? The content of the movie isn't woke. Nobody was protesting this movie as woke. They're protesting the director and his interview. This isn't organic. This isn't coming from the audience.

I haven't really paid much attention to this movie but the general notion that someone would be shocked that Superman would be woke is hilarious.

Then again those kind of people often call themselves Christian but don't really have opinions at all like what Jesus would have so I guess they aren't really good at remembering what traits different characters have.

It’s funny you post this while being an American lol
