Good job, WC. Shame about the video.
Thanks! I know, I'm bummed. It was a funny one too. Oh well.

I went to a deadlift/power clean seminar today. I paid for it about two months ago. The presenters were two coaches from Rips gym; one guy and one woman. The guy was awesome and had really great feedback but the woman (who I got paired up with) was terrible.
We started out with the deadlift. There was nothing new or revolutionary here. Same old shit that everyone tells me. Chest up, knees out, blah blah. My form was fine, and they told me that, but I used pretty light weights. (only worked up to a set of 5 with 175). They told me that I need to work on keeping my chest up more. Who knew. I'll work on it :-/
Next, we practiced progressions that led up to the clean. I think their type of instruction would get a lot of heat from everyone here. They teach the starting position of the clean as a deadlift. Hips were higher than I've ever seen anyone clean before. Apparently, I don't jump hard enough and am very slow to get my hands under the bar. Did some triples with a light weight (I think 65 lbs, can't remember).
Overall, I don't think it was worth my money. The female coach didn't understand how to give cues properly. She would just say "no, no. no" WHILE I was lifting. And then when I would put the weight down, she would say, "What did you do wrong?" And I really don't like that. I paid to be told immediate feedback and not to guess what I need to work on. If my elbows need to be up, just fucking say, "elbows up." Jesus.
