Deadlifts and milkshakes

Damn! You're getting strong. 155x6 on the squat is great. Your progress for the comp is looking really good as well!

Congrats on the rep PR.

And ya, that was some nice benching form.

Thanks miaou!

CONGRATS on the squat PR! That is awesome. Squats PR's feel pretty fucking good, good job WC!

Thanks! There is no greater feeling than repping heavy squats. I think it's just a great feeling when the weight is no longer on your back haha

Thanks squatsquat! I'm slowly losing interest in the bikini now that I'm getting stronger again lol

Did some wall balls, static stretching and some other stuff while waiting for Goon to finish up his shift.

Felt like shit all day and throughout training. I've been having really bad headaches on and off since the concussion and today was one of the worst. I had to drag myself to the gym today, but still busted out a rep PR!

Notes: My left knee started to bother me about an hour before going to the gym. A sharp pain whenever I stepped down. I warmed up like usual and did some foam rolling and then just started squatting. My knees often bug me but the pain usually subsides once I get to the heavy portion of squatting, but today it was getting worse. I worked up to a heavy double and was supposed to do 4 more doubles with that weight but didn't feel like taking a risk with my knee.

The pain is not when I'm actually squatting, but when I'm supporting the weight on one leg (unracking it) or just walking around. Every step is a sharp pain. I'm icing it right now and will rest for today.

****Tomorrow is my birthday and I'd like to do something epic in the gym. Squatting out of the question obviously. Any ideas? It'll be a deadlift day****

Chins

BW x 5, x 5, x 5, x 5, x5
Total: 25 reps YES! This has been a goal for a while...5 x 5 chins.

Notes: This was the first time I've ever pulled in a deadlift suit. I was looking for an epic thing to do on my birthday and I thought this would be as epic as it could get. Unfortunately, I still need to break the suit in quite a bit. It was tough getting into it. I tried grabbing handfuls of it and pulling, hanging from a barbell and having two guys pull me into it. I never got it all the way up and will have to break it in some more. As a result, I was extremely uncomfortable. My legs felt like they were bleeding from the suit digging into my skin.

I plan on using it once a week on my heavy days and will probably program it differently than I did today. For example, I'll put the suit on after I do my work sets with just a belt.

Diesel chins.

Thanks! I'm proud of them. I've been doing this thing for the past two or three weeks where every training session I do one more chin than I did last time. I started at 2 and now I'm at 25 in total. It worked out really well.

Now I'm going to start doing weighted chins!

Oh, also, here's some clips of me using the DL suit today. I only put in two clips because most of them were embarrassing, and long. It took me forever to get down to the bar but I edited that out haha

Lulz at the straps falling off. To have it that loose, to not have it all the way on and to still have trouble getting down to the bar really speaks volumes about the strength of the gear.

Not sure if I missed this before but why the suit? Are you moving to gear or is the Lulz principle really catching on?

Haha, yeah I purposely added that failed rep because of the straps falling down. It's funny because I guess they were "loose" but when I was down in the starting position, those straps were digging into my shoulders. To get down to the bar, I had to start in a sumo stance, put one hand down, then the other, then inch my feet together. And I would feel so much pressure on my thighs.

Also, definitely not moving to gear. Steve bought himself the suit for his strongman training and they sent him the wrong size. He let it sit around for a few days and then found out the return time frame was really short. He ended up just giving me the suit when we found out it fit me pretty well. I'm messing around with it now to see if I can pull some heavy shit with it, but I'm almost positive I would never compete with it.

C2 Rower: would have been my best time yet, but someone came over to me trying to give me advice on how to go faster. Go figure.

Med ball goblet squats

Squat
bar x 10

85 x 5
95 x 5

135 x 5
135 x 10 rep PR!!!!!

Band adductions with mini band
