Notes: Pressing was lame and felt weak. Board pressing was surprisingly easy! I failed at 145 but I think that it was due to bad spotting. Goon's Dad was a little nervous :)

Notes: Feelin' weak like girl. I have a cold/sinus infection thing going on.

How was the board pressing with the slingshot? I can see it's a bit cumbersome, but it looked like you had no trouble with it. I'd think that as you get more adjusted, you could start to slowly work down in boards until you're working with it off your chest, like you would if you were adjusting to a new bench shirt.

I liked it! I meant to write a longer description of the experience but I've just been lazy about logging workouts. It was a little overwhelming at first. One, because I've never handled that weight in my hands period and I've never had anyone else spot me before and generally don't trust anyone to do it. I think it will definitely benefit me just for the fact that I will get used to holding heavier weights over my head. I can't imagine trying to do this set up in my regular gym though, I usually train alone or only with one other person.

1/5/12

BW: 133

Quick foam rolling, a little tension around my knees and IT band

Squat
bar x 10
bar x 10

Bench
bar x 10
bar x 10
65 x 5
65 x 5
70 x 5
80 x 5
**belted**
90 x 5, belt felt weird near my belly button, probably won't use it for benching for the time being

Good mornings
55 x 10
55 x 10
55 x 10
55 x 10
55 x 10

Press
bar x 10
bar x 10
bar x 10
bar x 10
bar x 10

Notes: Everything felt pretty good today except for the belted bench set. Nothing really aching/hurting for once!

Also, I'll be pressing the bar at least 50 times every workout. This is Goon's idea to help my lame ass press.

How has your lifting been now in comparison to when you were lighter? forgot the difference in weight, but do you feel any difference?

It's about a 4-5 pound difference and I do notice a difference already. I'm not sure if it's because of any added weight or just more energy. I really wasn't eating right before, and probably still don't but I at least get a lot more protein now.

1/6/12

Noms:

Half a box of mac and cheese + half a pound of beef, pear
Protein bar
Wendy's: cheeseburger, fries, coke
Chicken and green beans

Ate like a normal person today, kinda. I still have a nasty cold and I've lost my appetite.

Sorry you're not feeling well :(

Yeah, you are probably not eating enough.

:)

Better than I used to! It doesn't matter anyway, I've gained 4 pounds in less than a month. Since I've been the same weight for the past two years, I think that's an accomplishment.

4 pounds in a month? I think I just gained that from my last meal
