Did some SMR on my quads, especially the IT band. Then went for a short hike with my dog to get some blood moving. My legs are unexpectedly very sore from Saturday. All I've been doing is sleeping, eating and complaining lol

I also was just sent a compilation from the meet. Some strong dudes towards the end.

Notes: Felt like a champ pressing today. Everything felt really fast and strong. I think some of those sets are PRs, can't remember. Goon suggested that I start "treating my shoulders like a dirty hooker and abuse them" so I focused a lot on assistance and now my arms feel like jello.

Update: I'm not sore anymore but I'm still really tired. Yesterday, I got a call from one of the men who lifted in the meet. He asked me to join his powerlifting team that is based about 20 minutes from my house. He has a basement gym, trains a lot of women and has the basic equipment to help me. He said I looked strong (lol), had good form and he'd be willing to help me build some power. He said it'd be free and I'm not sure what his incentive for helping me out is, but I'll be checking it out this Monday.

SMR - ouch, IT band and piriformis are TIGHT.

Still more rehab. Not much excitement going on in here although I think I made a breakthrough doing some research last night. I have many of the symptoms of a sacroiliac joint dysfunction and found some exercises that can alleviate it. They did help, but temporarily.

Went on a long, bone chilling hike with the beast. It was beautiful out, but I definitely was ill prepared for the ice and cold wind.

Thought I'd leave this recent video of my female lifter squatting here for you. In case someone ever makes you feel like you're not capable because you're a girl or some silly shit. She's been training for about 6 months now. Weighs roughly 156# at the moment.

 
I just commented on it in the PR thread! Thanks so much for sharing it. I'd say it's inspiring but the fact that she's only been training 6 months and is stronger than I'll be in my lifetime just kinda depresses me lol

Oh well shit that wasn't the desired effect at all. Don't hold yourself back. You've no idea what you may or may not do. So long as you have all four appendages, and even then.., you can do whatever you damn well please so long as you're willing to work and suffer a bit.

Haha I am half joking. I love seeing strong women and it always lights a fire under my ass to get me moving.

Notes: Squats felt good and my hip was fine. It only really felt uncomfortable when I would lose tension in the hole, other than that, I'm really happy with how it went. I might have slightly strained my right hamstring during the good mornings. We'll see tomorrow.

I've also decided that I'd like to put on some more weight. So far, I've eaten a whole box of macaroni and cheese, two cups of beef chili and a scoop of protein in 8oz of whole milk.
 
I know from experience, milk and pasta will put weight on you.

But go ahead and put as much weight on as you want, you won't beat my team of highland lifters.
