Have you tried taking time off to help recover from the hip issue?
I haven't taken time off from lifting completely but I stopped doing things that irritate my hip like leg raises and squatting. I messed up and wanted to see how squatting felt and now I'm wishing that I hadn't. Luckily, deads and pressing do not hurt!
