Notes: I've been incredibly sick since my meet. Got the flu really bad and was out of commission for a week. Couldn't even get to work. The past two weeks have just been a slow recovery. Finally got to training last night and I felt sooooooo rusty. Felt shaky and weak and I'm really sore today. I'm not motivated to get back into training at all. :(

Notes: Still not feeling 100%. Kept the weight pretty low for the squats but I was still getting out of breath. Very frustrating, but I know I just need to keep being consistent and I will get back where I was in no time.

Stuffed my face and then took a two hour nap after all of this.

Lots of foam rolling and stretching.

Notes: The owner at my gym is giving me some exercises to help me progress into a split. It's one of my goals for 2014. I am so far from being able to do it right now! The stretches were incredibly painful.

Also, taking 3 weeks off has turned me into moosh. My legs are extremely sore. Like first time ever squatting kind of sore. And I only used 110 or something like that. Going to be a rough time getting back!

Thanks and yep, that's the goal! I think those numbers are coming in the next year. 3 plates on the deadlift will be the biggest challenge though.

Goon has done TM, right? If so, its great that you have someone with experience and knowledge about the program, that you can talk to, if shit starts to stall (Happened to me on TM). Will make it better and more efficient, I think!

Thanks, and yes, Goon has used it for a while. He's helping me a lot with the programming. I usually write my own stuff, but now I'm leaving it up to him. I don't completely understand texas method yet and am a little skeptical about only training 3x a week but I'll stick with it for a little while.

Notes: Had to catch up on logging. All up to date now. Texas method is going well. I like it, but made some tweaks to the benching so that it mimicked what I was doing before the program change. I'll still be doing a 5 x 5 volume day, but the heavy day I will be doing five sets of singles or doubles. One set of 5 wasn't working for me. I'm also going to start pressing on the light day instead of a 3rd day of benching.

Also, we just started buying raw milk from our local farm today. This stuff is delicious. It's very thick, tastes like heavy whipping cream. YUM!
