Oh, also, Athletic Trainer/Bodywork lady told me today that I very likely have a minor tear in the pec minor. She spent about 45 minutes working on it/around it. She said in her opinion it's not too serious and should heal within a couple of weeks but without imaging... who knows.

So, there's that.

Well it would be very difficult for me to recommend overly specific programming. When I write programming I do it based mostly around the lifter's technical deficiencies. And even then there are levels of deficiency. Someone that comes WAYYY onto the toe to extend the hip will be doing a lot of toes-unsupported sweeping, and some light pulling and catching. Working on using the sweep mechanic to sit them back on their posterior. Meanwhile someone that simply hangs out on the toe too long as opposed to being too high or extended might be told to sweeps from the floor with a catch on the mid-hang to force them to focus on finishing the sweep with an open chest pushing down through the shins/heels. If that makes any sense.

My very broad advice would be to figure out where you can sharpen up your technique and spend a lot of time doing things to fix that, getting lots of reps in at 70-80%.

If you have any specific questions I'll be happy to take a crack at them. On the upside you have a good little bit of downtime to really put some thought into your training though.

When you're healthy come down and lift for a few days. I'm sure we can house you somewhere free of charge. If you're up and around Nov. 2 come down then. Kyle will be here doing a seminar.

Probably wouldn't have the money to make it down. I'll have to make it down eventually, probably just not this year, though.

I like broad advice. Especially when it's what I've been thinking.

MONDAY

LBBS:
50 x10
80 x3
100 x3
110 x3
120 x3
130 x3
140 x3(belt)
150 x3(belt)
160 x3(belt)
170 x3(belt, all high, so... No reps?)
120 3x3

170

Nothing like some mile high squats on a Monday night.

Pull Ups:
4 EMOM x10 Minutes

Lunges:
50 4x10

---Didn't really have a plan today but I wanted to do some training. So I belph'd it up.

--Decided on ascending triples in the squat. That's a real thing, right? 160 was pretty casual and didn't require much mental energy on my part so I got a little jazzed and hit 170. And then... I squatted high for what is, I'm pretty sure, the first time ever. Not going to lie, pretty pissed about it. Depth has never been an issue for me. Maybe it's from being tight after a week off? I don't know. They felt normal. It would have been a pretty nice no-wrap triple PR. Oh wellz. Maybe next time.

--Shoulder/pec/whatever felt weird. Definitely not healthy yet. Did some rotator cuff work. Will stay constant on that this week and see what happens.

C'mon bitch indeed. Your videos are always fun to listen to.

Wasn't even aware I said it until I watched the video. That being said, pretty appropriate.

Glad I can entertain.

WEDNESDAY

Deadlift, 3" Deficit:
70x5,
100x3
120x3
140x3
160x3(belt)
180x3(belt)
190x3(belt)
200x3(belt)
140 3x3

200x3

Front Squat:
60x5
70x5
80x5
90x5
100x5

BOR
60x5
80x5
90 3x5
80 3x8

--Still freestyling. It's been forever since I pulled consistently from a deficit. I forgot how much I enjoy them. Serious doms today. Everything hurt.

--All things considered I was pretty happy with how the pulls felt.

Well, I'm a bit a drift at the moment.

My shoulder is still clicking/popping and feeling weak. Today my left knee flared up for the first time in a long time, and pretty badly. I tried to warm up the squat today and decided I'd be doing real damage if I continued.

I'm finding it difficult to admit that I'm hurt though.

I know that feel, brah. You're in a tougher spot than I am, though. Obviously you're fifty shades of fucked up right now, but are you able to do anything at all ?

Thanks guys. The positivity is appreciated.
The owner of one of the gyms I coach at is a P/T. and looked at my knee this morning. He said without imaging it's impossible to know for sure but that all signs point to a miniscus issue. Minor tear at most. He thinks rest is the best option and that it will likely heal on it's own. So... yeah.

FUCK

It became more challenging to walk/hobble around the house so I went to the ER. The doc there said it's a slight tear in the LCL. He gave me some anti-inflammatory and sent me on my way. I would have been down with some crutches.
Apparently X-rays can see a meniscus now.

Hope you have a speedy recover, Legs.

Also, your squat video from Sept 30 looked pretty good to me. Buried? no. High? I don't think so.

You just had to out do me, huh dan ? You're just another Glooooooooooooorrrrrrryyy booooooooooy.

How's the tit ? Can you bench again or is that still a no go ? Oh, and heal up I guess ?

Chin up old chap. Injuries aren't really fair, at times feels like you're left without a leg to stand on.
