Do you think you were overtrainig, or under eating relative to that amount of work?
Seems strange that you can take your foot off the gas and start to put weight on that's not fat. Unless you're still doing enough to force an adaptation.
If only I knew. I had a couple of very hectic weeks where my nutrition and recovery in general took a hit and I think I just fell behind. Or Shieko is winning. Not 100%. To be fair, I have deviated from programming quite a bit in recent months.
Oh some of it's definitely fat my man. I've lost some definition all over. Which I'm fine with. Through three weeks of very hard eating my training volume was still pretty high. As soon as I started backing off it seemed much easier to put on the Lbs(or ounces lololol). I went from 175 most mornings to 79 pretty quickly without any real intake change. Obviously this is mostly glycogen/water, and fat but my goal was just #'s on the scale before the December meet.
Soooo... I'll continue to deload through next week while attempting to keep this BW around 179/80 in the AM.
Assuming I'm good to dive back into regular training after that I'll wait two weeks while maintaining the same nom nom intake and see what that does to the ol' BW and go from there. As long as I'm not north of 177 8-weeks out I don't forsee any issues getting down.
I'm really more concerned with my shoulder putting a big ass dent in my total.
