Yeah one of the upsides to my new gym is that in the evenings I can generally have the place to myself. It's in an industrial district and we have a fairly loud sound system. So it's easy to get a little crazy.

--Nothing serious of course. I'm really starting to get something out of lunges again. I did a lot of unilateral work in the past and it's really worked for me. Not sure why I stopped. Knee and hams/glutes feel great. Boom.

---Weird day. Warm ups in the squat felt fantastic. Very tight and powerful. Right until 325, then it became one loonnng grind. I mean, they didn't get ugly, but every set required focus.

--Benching was feeling great and I just wanted to paused something a bit heavier with these lighter wraps. First rep at 275 felt good, mis grooved my second a bit. The whole thing felt a little wild.

--I really just did the front squats and rope climbs because I wanted to.

I've never taken my bench this seriously before. My total plans require I get to around 315-20 as quickly as possible. So, I'm really trying here.

I feel like I don't know how to use my leg drive without my ass leaving the bench and it's costing me LBs.

---Man, felt great today. I wanted to come in and shred all of this 80% work in preparation for some "heavy" days next week. Squatting felt fantastic. I think a lot of it had to do with me really hammering down on recovery in the three days leading up to it. I ate BIG. Woke up Tuesday morning MEGA bloated at 181.4. This took A LOT of cookies, ice cream, rice, and bananas. I also spent at least forty five minutes each day working my my glutes, hams, and quads. I was able to "feel" every rep quite well. Everything was just poppin.

--On squats I sacrificed a little speed to try and control my depth a bit. I can be a little faster when I bounce harder out of the hole but doing this for a few days in a row really starts to accumulate wear and tear on my hips and hams. All of the reps felt great and in the video it looks like I'm getting better at feeling my depth. I don't intend to start stopping at just below parallel but I can't keep allowing too many reps to bounce my hams off of my calves and whatnot. Shit hurts.
I was able to set me upper back REALLY well all day. The load felt quite light and I was able to focus on what dem walking sticks were doing.

--Benching was pretty decent. Still adjusting to the new 80% with a higher TM. The pauses felt monstrously long but, as the video all too often reveals, they were crazy short. I was focusing on not relaxing during my pause. This only took real effort in the last 2 sets. So, good??

--All of my bloat has left me now and I'm back down to 174.5 this AM. :( I also had a date last night when derailed my streak of gluttony. Will get back on the horse tonight.

---Meh. Just wasn't great pulling. Couldn't seem to recruit my quads at all.

--Pauses felt good, though. Strong, easy. Normally 405 slays me paused.

--Some mild discomfort in my right shoulder benching today. Not sure... exactly what that is. Other than that, benching felt decent. Pretty swift about it.

--Block work was turrible. Wanted to get video but I ended up coaching during them. This also zaps a little bit of my focus. They felt ugly, probably looked likewise. Felt somewhat quicker right off the block but lockouts were terribad.

--Used straps pretty much all day. Hands were shredded from last week and I forgot to shave/sand them. Fuck.

---Feeling beat up today. My right shoulder was acting up, and then my groin was randomly very, very sore. Everything was turrible. Long damn day. Started off with a flat tire and no spare first thing in the AM. Right in the face.

--I really babied the shoulder and as a result all of the 255 reps were quite taxing. Hoping it feels alright tomorrow.

--The groin thing also made squatting very timid. I had to be very intentional and deliberate in the work sets.


--Just throwing this in here because I'm really proud of this girl I've been working with. Met her at 110lbs and talked her into gaining some training weight. She's up to 122 now and crushed an easy PC off the block PR today at 135#. We've only been working together for a couple of months but she's really excited about competing as a Weightlifter and is committed to training. She has a monstrous floor sweep and has responded really well to block work for training her retreat. I'm hoping she can blow up a 70kg clean and jerk by mid-October at 56kg bw.

1: I don't understand the question. Why am I wearing one?? I feel a little more stable when I set up my arch using it. Normally, I only use it at 80%+. It doesn't make a huge difference really. The wraps are way bigger for me. Cuz I'm a beotch.

2: My team name is a Soviet joke, so I'm pretty committed. Will have t-shirts soon.

I just wall of texted your log with snatch input. I really will try to make a little video esplaining it better this week. I've been meaning to try this. Might be a neat for of self review for me.
