Congrats for the PR, broheim. Hope the upper back is nothing srs.

I was going to horn in on that 190kg thing you and meow have going but I wrap so it's not fair.

We're going to 200 now. I use a belt, and meow doesn't, I don't think he'd mind. Care to join ?

If the pretty Greek is down, sure.

Meow dislikes wraps and stuff, but kinda likes legs, so he's welcome to join. If legs is the first one to hit 200, good for him; meow will just have to contend himself with kicking belph bear's ass.

Legs, do you have an unwrapped number? You had mentioned you train wrapped because unwrapped results in knee issues for you, right? Do wraps even give you a boost the way you tie them?

Hey, thanks man. It's doing much better today. I don't think I'll even have to push back training. I mean I won't really know til I lie down to press but I was carrying 40' ladders most of the day pain free. So, it might be okay. The lidocaine patch helped.

That being said after this thing is 100% I'm going to beat my back relentlessly. Bulllllshit reason to miss a lift or get hurt.

I honestly have no idea how much my wraps give me. I am slightly curious. I've been gradually working into higher intensities/volumes wrapless. Once I get to doing 85% smooth and easy sans wraps maybe I'll try out a conservative 1rm without. Who knows.

U wot m8?

I had just gotten home from job A and got a legitimate chuckle at this exchange. No even sure why.

---Meh sort of session. Just didn't have much pep in my step.

--Babying my left shoulder blade thingie made my lockouts weird but otherwise I felt strong. Hence the 5% bumps.

--Pulls felt very smooth. I really liked all of them. I wanted to take the 485's without hate facing it but shit was heavy tonight. I was very glad that I didn't need to use straps on my top sets. I've found that if I mix straps in with my warm ups they last a bit longer into training. Which worked out well for a day like today. Really mucky work. Hands were all shot up.

My goal is to hit 200 by the end of the year. Cool if I join? :D

And god damnit, I really need to bring my bench and deadlift up.

Brah it makes no nevermind to me. You'll have to ask belph-a-saurusrex or DimasJr. Eventually the Greek jokes will wear on him.

I'm not sure if I'll be taking a handicap or finding an un-wrapped max. It will be a hot minute if I'm racing to 200k unwrapped.

Yeah bro your squat is sort of like my DL.
I think your bench will shoot up very quickly over the next few months getting all these reps in. I mean, you bench, or some variation, EVERY DAY. As long as you're actively working towards honing in your technique and crushing face you'll be pausing 280 in NO TIME.

Just gotta say I totally stole you DL set up. Been using it for months and its what got me over the 315 milestone and on to 405... I think you had mentioned no one mimic your technique bt honestly it worked wonders for my DL and by comparison to my other lift it way beyond...

Well I think a lot of the regulars get more than 10ppp so it'll flow better for some.

I chuckled.

It went to a new page for 30ppp as well haha.

Also, Legs, I do the same hand shaking and opening thing to psych myself up for big lifts. Just noticed it in your deadlift video.

Honestly some of the little twitches and ticks I'm not even aware of. I'm just trying to channel a bunch of hate and aggression into the bar. It's the approach that Matty Bruce taught me. And that dude is a WORKHORSE. Let me tell you what son...

---About 5+ hours on the road down to Irmo, SC and back. Plus coaching most of the day. I wanted to train down there but the seminars monopolized the racks. Felt pretty draggy coming into things but all those kids crushing face and making me feel like a bitch motivated me to get it done. So, that's good.

--Decided to go without wraps on today's 80%. Felt easy and strong so I'll try to make 85% my new wrap number and, hopefully, get that to 90% eventually. I'm in no rush.

--The set of 7 for the lulz was because I'd just read Kyle's log and he'd set some rep pr around 350, I think, so I was inspired to see where I'd start to GM with 80%(330). Seven. It happens quite clearly at seven. I think this had more to do with my hip flexors/low back being whiny bitches from the car ride. I feel like I should be able to get another three clean reps there. Oh well. It was without wraps so I feel okay about it.

--Back/shoulder thing was feeling pretty good. Some mild discomfort while squatting but nothing of concern. I wanted to do some upper back work so I tried some light rev-flys. Immediate increase in discomfort so I decided against. I can't complain. It feels infinitely better than Tuesday. Hopefully these two days off will allow it to heal up.

--Food intake was shit for about 36hrs. Running very light. Less than great.

--Happy to be done with #31. Looking forward to starting #29 again on Tuesday and cruising through an "easy" month. My body needs some back off I think. If I'm feeling good over the next few weeks I'll try for easy rep PRs but that's about it.

---Nice and easy on day one of 29, again. Felt great.

--Had a first today. The second round of benching felt infinitely better than the first. I believe this is the heaviest rep work I've done without a belt and it definitely had an impact. Just wasn't consistent at first. They felt strong and steady but all over the groove. Second bit felt very locked on. I still want to play with the different bench set up Keo recommended but I can never seem to get past one warm up set with it.

--Squatting was good. Strong and smooth. Showed some minor signs of fatigue in the last set but I was really hustling through them. Some peculiar sensations in my left knee today. Not like the pain I'm accustomed to. Hard to describe. I don't think it's anything serious just making a note to keep an eye on it and have a date attached.

--Had to get a solid upper body pump today. Found out I'm doing the water park thing tomorrow. SUN'S OUT GUN'S OUT. lolololol

Ball Ham Curl?

Looks like loads of fun.

That's the one sir. I'm a fan of it. I try to use my t/a and really activate my glutes when I do them. Always seems to help my knees stay healthy. I should do it more. Slackin'.

Weren't a couple people talking about that in the pub the other day? Seems like most people do balance work for their elbows, almost everyone for their shoulders. Makes sense to do it for the knees as well. Might have to do a wee bit of that myself.

Interesting. Going to give that ball ham curl a shot.
