Man, i"m really curious about what wraps would do for my squat... hmm..it's tempting lol.

Also, random ass question. When you used to do 40k, how fucking long did it take you to paint em?? This shit is taking me forever lmao. I"ve had them like 2 months and I"m barely half-way done haha.

I don't particularly like using them to be honest. However it seems to minimize my knee pain that has kept me from training at all in the past.

I'd start out with a very light wrap if you were going to give it a go. I got these used from a local kid that I lifted with a few times. I had ordered what APT considered to be a light wrap and they were still way, way too much for me. I really like these.
I know they're made by EFTS but I can't seem to find them on their site.

Dude painting minis, even doing a mediocre job, is a huuuge investment of time. I'm pretty sure I spent two weeks painting one squad of marines at one point. Just ridiculous.

There are people you can pay to do it. Decent rates as well. It's been years but when I looked into it the cost was individual mini based and varied on the quality level you wanted. I believe something like 1.50 a mini got you a top-notch scheme. Pretty reasonable I think.

Yea, i might see if I can find someone locally who would let me try them out for a session to see if I like them or not. I know a guy that used to compete in geared powerlifting in the past so I'll probably ask him.. I don't think I've seen a geared guy not use wraps before lol.

As for the mini's, damn you're definitely not joking haha. I bought the box set (dark vengeance) so it came with about... 45-50 minis (I got it for about 70$ so price wise it was great lol) But I've only painted about 20 of them  Damn my perfectionist side coming out... I might put a picture of a coupla my "good" ones up in my log for anyone else that remotely cares about them haha... And honestly, 1.50 is a damn good price for how long it takes IMO...I"m just too cheap to do something like that haha :icon_lol:

---First time doing pauses at the knees. Felt really good. Looking forward to doing these again. I was just jerking around with the last set. Felt great.

--Benching was pretty challenging. The reps felt slow and ugly but there was a positive. It's the first time I've been comfortable really working on my bench. It's hard to describe. In the way that I know what a challenging but productive squat would feel like. So I'm pleased with the increased comfort.

--Deadlift feeling much stronger and consistent than in the past few weeks. This is still a really draining day though. My hands are doing better but still getting beat up. Didn't really start to bother me until the fourth set or so.

--The meet organizer said there will be three other people at 165. So, that's cool. At least I'll have some direct competition.

Did I see pauses on the way down too? You madman.

Your platforms look so damn classy.

I put too much clear coat on there. It's border-line slippery. I'm just too lazy to go back and sand it again.

Crazy talk. Honestly they felt really good. I was able to exaggerate setting back and pulling the bar into me. I'd like to be a little more accurate about the above the knee pause though.

Deadlift to knees for singles? which sheiko cycle are you doing?
I like how we're working at almost the same weights. Great work in here Legio, shit looks easy.

#32 for meet-prep. I believe it called for 75% 3x1.

Thanks man. It's always reassuring when it looks easy.

I see it now. Week 2 Day 3 right?

Yup. Looks like it was 70% actually. Not sure why I was thinking 75. I usually write the week's programming down the Sunday prior on a folded piece of notebook paper so I tend to forget what the %'s are.

Just curious, how long are you planning on running sheiko?

Until it stops working I imagine. I'm not exactly sure how I'll handle the week following this meet as I am pretty beat up. After that though I plan on just rolling through #29 again with the increased maxes and then going from there.

Thusfar I greatly enjoy the program and it keeps me constant. I feel stronger and stronger all the time so I see no reason to consider another approach.

How long does the workout last?

You mean each training session?? It depends. Wednesdays, the deadlift day, thusfar is the most taxing and almost always takes me 3+ hours to complete.

Mondays and Fridays generally take me right at two hours to complete. Keeping in mind ten or so minutes of that are usually a warm up and I don't really rush myself. If I'm on a roll and just feeling good I'll fly through the work sets but for the most part I pace myself and try to get quality reps on everything irregardless of rest times.

This is also varied by how much assistance I have the energy for.

---So pretty frustrating day. First round of benching felt great. Smooth and easy. Even when I got tired I did a better job of staying in my groove. Then I had to break for some clients and near the end of their session one of my migraines kicked off. I drove all the way back to the house planning on taking a bunch of melatonin and sleeping through it but the pain started to abate and turned into a dull thud. I decided I'd rather go back and grind out the rest of training and deal with the pain. It felt like my head was going to pop off on every squat but as far as migraines go it's pretty mild. Glad I just got it done.

--BW this am was 173.

shitty about those migraines...

I have been taking about 1 hour to get through my main lifts and assistance. I tack on an extra 15 minutes at the end for stretching and shit... I wish I could take more time...

ANyway, dat bench was fast!

Yeah they can definitely suck but this one was very mild by comparison. So I can't complain too much.

Well man you have actual responsibilities in life so it's understandable. You're still making progress so good on you.

Thanks man the bench is feeling way better lately.

---Trained a bit earlier than usual today and I rushed warm up a bit. Suffered for that. Need to be more disciplined about that next week.

--Overall felt pretty good. A bit sluggish but solid. Tried to keep the wraps pretty loose today. Didn't feel too much pop out of the hole which is what I was looking for.

--That was the heaviest I'll bench before the meet and I'm feeling really good about it. Hoping for a bit all time PR.

--BW at 172 this morning so I'm happy with that.
