It's pretty evident at this point that Diaz is looking to get out of the UFC and start doing celebrity boxing money fights. The Jake Paul fight is already in motion as much as it can be for being under contract. Dana hates Jake Paul and he's not a fan of how the Diaz brothers do business. Dana kept throwing Nate under the bus for refusing to fight Khamzat and only offered him that fight until he finally reluctantly accepted. Nate tried to play it off as wanting that fight but he just wanted out and huge money fights.

Now Khamzat misses weight, Nate gets to fight in a winnable fight vs a fellow veteran on the down swing. He went from going into this Jake Paul fight as punching bag to having a chance to get a big W. Set himself up ever better for the fight promotion and send a big fuck you to Dana and Khamzat.

Nate won’t make more money outside the UFC.
He will resign for short term fights with a contract that doesn’t make him a slave.

It really really did. The UFC hoped Khazmat would "smesh" Nate on his way out the UFC and at the same time transfer all of Diaz’s fans to Khazmat in the process.

Next time someone tell khamzat to not eat before cutting weight.

I think Khazmat missed on purpose. The fight was giving him anxiety. Too high profile. Too much spotlight. Pressure was getting to him.

Now he's in a much safer position and the pressure that comes with fighting a Diaz brother is gone.

You see how much Pettis is making in PFL? The money is definitely out there
Pettis made 750K to get smoked.
That is why other organizations fell and the UFC is still here. Promotions bleeding all their money to the fighters. UFC = u fight cheap which is why the UFC is still in business.

The UFC figured out a long time ago they don't need the best fighters because the general public will believe the UFC when thr UFC says so and so is the best on the planet.

He'll make more fighting Jake Paul than he will anyone, anywhere in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.

If Anderson beats Jake Paul then ugh … (the Anderson who beat Chavez & obliterated Tito should be able to do it)
