How exactly does Dana being one of the directors affect anything? Like what will change? Can it be something fight related? I dont use meta or facebook.

Meta has just decided to pay Dana White to be part of their team that they can leverage for his advice and very likely an expectation of whatever indirect benefits may come from having a very close friend of the President of the United States on their board of directors.

Also of note, for those who didn't catch it - Trump issued a legal brief to the Supreme Court requesting they stay the Tik-Tok ban, such that Trump's admin can work on it politically.

Trump is open for business so we're going to see a lot of nutty stuff occur with deals and partnerships. Zuck knows Dana will be a useful shield at worst and a deal-maker at best, especially with the milieu of Meta entirely losing the domestic young audience, and Tik-Tok being up for grabs.

My guess is that a partnership between UFC and Meta is coming for VR Sports viewing. Meta has been pivoting that way (I think they know their current model of social media is dead).
