Every time the UFC cuts Andrei a check, Dana wonders how taste his pee pee?
If Dana wanted to cut him he would. He's giving him the chance to do it himself. How much is Andrei being paid these days? It probably isnt cheap considering hes an ex champ and has been in the profession for almost 25 years. Dana probably sees it draining the UFC bank account but does not really want to release Andrei himself so he lets him consider retirement

Because he’s convinced himself that he invented the sport of Mma and not only is he the biggest star he thinks it will suffer and possibly collapse without himWhy doesn't Dana take his own advice and retire.
No one likes him, and he is a cancer to the sport.
Like you say, they already do it, the problem is salary. He would never be paid 350,000 USD * 3 a year lol. That's why Dana "is concerned" about him. Dana only cares about money and having Arlovski still under contract is not good for the business.Would be interesting to see what (if any since I'm going to pretend like I know the fight business) the financial benefit for hiring these former champs as legit UFC representatives to create content, cultivate new talent, or just be the face of a goodwill outreach division.
While the latter might be just virtue signaling, it's standard practice and may do both direct and indirect good where needed.
And it'd communicate that the UFC really cares about its athletes.
I dont think this is true at all.Like you say, they already do it, the problem is salary. He would never be paid 350,000 USD * 3 a year lol. That's why Dana "is concerned" about him. Dana only cares about money and having Arlovski still under contract is not good for the business.
He hasnt been fun to watch. But,as Ive said, its a great way to guage talent. If he can just outspar a younger guy, they know that guy isnt really that good. If a guy like Tom aspinall can blast through him,ok we may have something special here.He probably is looking toward it. I trust he'll make the decision when he best feels it's time. He isn't getting embarrassed in there and is earning. He is a recognizable name to have on a card. Personally I'm glad to see him still doing this and also Jim Miller.
Bro promoters dont never retire. When Dana dies, thats when he will be replaced.Dana should consider retirement along with Andrei, both are way past due.
lmao he breaks in the new guys. Most guys who have his level of recognition still delusionally try to pursue the title, and he's happy to pad the undercard against the newbies. There IS value in that...but he's pretty old and that run prob should wrap up soon.does he has some unlimited kind of fight deal and thats why he isnt retiring?
he's like one of those old twats in work who dont actually do anything anymore but walk round pretending they do while cashing in each month
Yeah, like you said, they wanted him there for convenience. Earning 350k being old and getting ktfo most often than not says for itself. Dana cares about somebody when they bring something to the table, otherwise they start caring out of nowhere to end the contract. Just lol, like I said he needs to pay Arlovski and let him and his team decide, offer 3 fights a year and that's it.I dont think this is true at all.
They obviously know how much AA was making for a long time now. It didnt just occur to them. Theyve let him hang around way longer than they let other guys like The Reem or JDS who was still fighting top level guys. He's survived this long because theyve wanted him to be there, and he fulfills a function breaking in the new guys.
It's just coming into the home stretch now, thats all.
I dont think its like that. I think he genuinely likes Arlovski. It's not just about usefulness,I think he's easy to do business with and he likes him. Who out there doesnt love Arlovski??? It will be fuckin a sad day when he retires...but he does need to start thinkin about that shit. Nothin wrong w Dana or anyone else saying that. He's been sort of carried with the matchups he's been given, and a guy his age really shouldnt be getting knocked out anymore.Yeah, like you said, they wanted him there for convenience.
