Jones is also far from being an example of an upstanding citizen and should not be allowed to raise his stock after essentially keeping the HW belt hostage for years while keeping the proper contender on the side waiting interminably.

If the UFC signs Jones to another fight on any card, Jones should have to place his opponent's show money into escrow upon signing a fight contract, to be paid to his opponent if Jones pulls out for any non-injury reason or to be returned to Jones upon injury withdrawal or the fight taking place.

UFC needs to start doing this to pull out merchants. Maybe they do, do it. Probably tried with Conor and Conor declined and they are in a stalemate.
