Dan Hooker rips UFC over canceled tickets: ‘I’m not going to break my back for a company that doesn’t respect me’

We know the UFC holds grudges tho and this isn't a 50/50 relationship. Sitting on the side line is gonna hurt him a lot more than the organization.

@Luthien, the actual greatest box in the world and her right now. Lol, the other cats making love to the outside of the box. Smh. .View attachment 1106283
@HI SCOTT NEWMAN told me he is jealous of the box

You're sure it's not the dog that's making Scott jealous? Lmao

I use to buy shipping boxes from Walmart, cut holes and glue them all together. I posted pics of it before on here. They love that shit.

1) cancel the 3:30 am media. Communicate

2) you don't bleed for the compay you bleed for you and you know it. You love it and get paid for it

Did the UFC punish him for no media show by canceling his tickets ?
Also I'm not experienced wih fighting in injuries. Not sure if that's the best choice.

People tend to put fighters on a pedestal, Dan a hooker would be a nobody if he wasn’t fighting in the UFC, he openly admitted to not being smart enough to hold down a job. He’s kinda lucky he is making a living fighting, because he would be a loser without it.
Yeah most people who are public figures wouldn't be public figures if they weren't

youre fucking brilliant

It wasn't 3 AM. He said it was 3 AM in New Zealand to justify it, but he was in Las Vegas. It was 7:30 AM in Vegas. Boo fucking hoo.

Keep in mind at absolute minimum this is 16 hours of travel (you cannot fly direct) and more like 17-20 hours with layover time. Then tack on a few hours of travel to/from airports. The UFC also famously only provides economy tickets.

He got in the night before, it is absolutely ridiculous some asshole at the UFC booked him for 7:30am promotional appearance after spending an entire day traveling across the world.

This isn't a paid appearance either.

The UFC use these dudes up like a commodity and toss them in the bin the absolute minute they're done extracting value from them. Hooker is right and the UFC are shitty partners. They are such shitty partners they had to pay out nearly half a billion dollars in a class action lawsuit.

I find Hooker annoying but he's 100% right here, so War Hooker.

You missed the point, being a public figure has least do with it, and has more to do with his mindset. Dan Hooker mindset hasn’t change much from before he was one, if he agreed to do it and flaked out then thats on him.

Out in the real world, when you’re in the work force, employed. consequences occur albeit this is something minor imo, but still you do not how business will reprimand their workers.

How bout you try agree to something to your employers, granted you do have a job…and then no call, no show, nothing. See how thst works out for you.

Dan Hooker fucked this up.

The UFC isn't scheduling you for events and comping your tickets unless they known for a fact you're going to be there. That means this event was planned in advance.

You have a promotional contract. Do your job like a man. Did you need to bring your mommy to wake you up on time?

Hope they start booking all his fights in Vegas.

This is the real world, where Dan Hooker is a relatively well known fighter. So people are going to treat him accordingly.

Your previous makes no sense in relative to this post, being a public figure has nothing to do with this discussion, they did treat him accordingly. The bigger problem is, Hooker has always been like this, he’s openly admitted he has hard time keeping jobs, if you have hard time keeping jobs, thats not a employer problem, thats a employee problem.

Hooker playing victim here, what about the people who actually woke up, the fans who actually paying to be there, prepared, got the event organized, money invested, for him just to flake out because he’s unprofessional.

Great story.

Dan doesn't do the ufc booking,
then expects free tickets.

At least he told the truth about the three contender scenario.

You can't seem to keep the UFC and public opinion separate.

His point is that Dan isn't some prelim jobber. He's a guy you can throw in a Fight Night main event or on a PPV main card. He's a Top 10 LW.

There's other solutions to handle problems. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Hurting fighter relations doesn't help anyone here.

Fans are customers.
Athletes are employees.

The idea is to make as much money as possible out of both.

Same as every sport.

No one believes the “we are one big family” bollocks, surely?

has there ever been a fighter that has been truly given the respect they deserve from the UFC ?

He wasn't there? He skipped? Fuck him. No tickets. Fuck that guy. - Dana White
