When uke in your open guard and their right across your chest, your left grasp elbow, your right grasp wrist, keep elbows in, shrimp out to left and sit up, right arm over back and into uke armpit, keep elbow as tight in as possible, pull and roll to left switching hips back in the opposite direction, you should still have a trapped arm. You should have some kind of mount and be able to 'gift wrap' the trapped arm and snake your free arm in the gap between their chin and trapped arm, push down on snake arm and squeeze everything else up for dar'ce/ ezekiel type choke.

Sweep from Z Guard

Be in Z guard, sit up, underhook uke near arm and post own far arm out and behind, swap leg hooks and drive near leg toward own buttocks to cause uke discomfort, close your hips to theirs and pull out their far posted knee, if top man whizzers and posts far knee up onto foot to drive you down, under hook their hammy with your far arm and pull back toward you all the way over, come to side control.

3 min knee on belly, 1 min rest, 3 min sprawl, 1 min rest, 3 min throw bag and come up, 3 min rest

5 min throw bag and move to knee on belly, 3 min rest
5 min hip escape and come up, 3 min rest
5 min play with double, 3 min rest
5 min sit out and move play

I observe what I did good in randori and hammer it on days I dont roll

Did 8 to 1 then 5 to 1 chins = 51, reasonable form, got distracted could always do more.
Will start at the end, with my feelings, feel good man, feel reeeeaaaallll good, usual partners taking it easy and giving me an opportunity to advance my position so don't feel as ruined.
Prof showed details of mount escape, the main thing I've been missing is grapevining the leg to control the half guard and switching hips further out to get my legs into better guard position.

Prof tech: continuation from previous class, top man steps to S mount, drive up onto bottom elbow to create space, use top hand to block shin and move to your half using leg entanglement, switch hips to move to guard.

All from standing, tried some passes today, they worked ok but not as tight as they should have been, being crushed on bottom sucks balls so I need to learn how to make space.
Also need to stop doing plam, as everyone keeps their hips away it negates movement.
Body lock is better, sprawls need to be done on the daily.
Feels: got reprimanded for not being heelak for the first time in rolling, I did a zig when I should have zagged and guy was pissed off, guy is pissed off anyway so neva mind.......pissed off guy

Kind of miffed still about pissy dude from yesterday as he really cranked on the subs post whoopsey, he also took that few extra seconds to release, looked super satisfied too lil fucker lolol, would still like to roll with as he's competitive and I could learn off him, dude seems a little conceited too though so maybe he can get a big old fucked, there's also plenty of other peeps to roll with soooooooo.........we'll see what happens......

Main man wasn't in so one of the other black belts took class, he showed us a sweep from deep half which was preceded by half, about two minutes into the demo I was like 'wtf??' but with a little help from the homies I got enough to make some crude notes, I think I have the gist of the sweep but if I attempted it in randori it would be uuurrrgly.....like everything else.
To get to deep you must reach up to under-hook uke's arm, and drive your other arm up between uke's legs, getting your head tight to their hip, this is key to protecting you from collar chokes.
From within the deep half there are several grip changes that will help you unbalance uke getting them to shift their weight one way and then 'tother and come on top, these include:
1)a hand on the lapel 2)a hand on monkey'ed (sic) sleeve 3)a hand on the back of uke's belt and 4)a hand on uke's stripped out lower jacket lapel...............how the hands swap I cant recall but the guts is: 1)helps break uke's posture, 2)disrupts balance from uke's posted hand, 3)helps drag uke's hips to the mat and 4)breaks uke's posture
The lapel grip will also stop uke from triangle choking you as you come up as your arm wont be inside, it will be underneath.
The leg position also changed, initially you have legs triangled, prior to the tipping point of the sweep you must shift your over foot to under uke's shin, the sweep occurs when you simultaneously pull uke from behind via the lapel or belt and kick the aforementioned foot upward, you should come to the top with both hands under uke's legs.

Randori: I was a little less shit today largely because of the homies. I also mouthed off a bit today which I found amusing. When stacked I need to get on my shoulder.......

Feels good to throw hands.

Also good to give the hips a stretch and have a general fuck around.

Yep, rugby is a huge part of New Zealand culture and there have always been Māori who play well, the warrior part of our culture is really popular, people find it fascinating because it's exciting, painting with a broad brush but Pacific Islanders such as Tongans and Samoans are usually bigger than Māori ie Mark Hunt, a lot of big league and union players have big fuck off physiques because theyve spent so much time building armour to play their positions ie Sonny Bill Williams, the biggest Māori in the ufc was Jamie Te Huna who was a 205er
