Ciryl Gane is disappointed with the outcome of his UFC 321 clash against Tom Aspinall.

Gane challenged Aspinall for the heavyweight title in the main event at UFC 321 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. While Aspinall was a heavy favorite, Gane looked excellent on his feet as long as the fight lasted, even cutting open the champion. However, things took a disappointing turn when Gane accidentally poked Aspinall in both eyes late in the first round. After taking nearly four out of the five allotted minutes, Aspinall’s vision was still compromised, leading to the fight being declared a no contest.

Gane is disappointed with the outcome of the fight, as expected, considering the hard work that went into the preparation. However, “Bon Gamin” is also disappointed with the outcome because the fight was playing out his way while it lasted.

An Unsatisfying Outcome

“I’m a bit disappointed with the outcome of this fight, of course,” Gane said.
“For many reasons, because of all the work we’ve done, all the commitments. But also because the way the fight was going, because of the future… It is a really unsatisfying outcome. So yeah, now what’s next, I don’t know yet. I got my manager and I trust him, my team and the UFC.”

I definitely sucks and no one enjoys a big fight getting such an anticlimactic ending .... but this dude been using all sorts of illegal tactics his whole UFC run.

Kicking Jon Jones in the dick right off the jump was funny though

Dont feel too down champ

You were stylin on tommy boy, turned him into peepin Tom

I agree. My point on the PRIDE glove is that, at least the one time I wore a pair, you couldn't even open your hands in a way to poke someone like he is showing.

Granted, I fought amateur at lw and ww, so maybe the heavies could do it, but when I would even attempt to do it, it felt very unnatural and required effort.

He was lucky. Aspinall was on track to destroy him in the 5th round with his super cardio and monstrous gameplan and wrestling. <Dany07>
