Nice conflict on 4chan about this game

Half saying game will be good other half saying it will be shit

The Gangs of Night City video was definitely interesting. I wasn't expecting that many in the game, they're all unique too.

Even if the game is amazing some people will call it shit just because of the level of hype. I can’t remember seeing a game this hyped since Daikatana.

nah they got a point in some things

map is fairly small
gangs are stereotypical
romance options are limited
rpg elements toned down similar to skyrim or witcher

buut we will see

Has there been any info on whether we can own garages and multiple vehicles?

Lets not lower the bar lol

As long as the overall gameplay length over all the quests is substantial I'll be fine. It could be 20 hours main quest, but if all the side stories and side quests makes for a 200 hour game that would be swell. I guess that falls more into a Bethesda-style game. But that wouldn't make me unhappy.

Pre-order price of $49.94 for the GoG is the #1 seller in videogames on Amazon right now:

On sale at Amazon for 49.99 for current gen games, with free upgrade to next gen.

Feel like I’ve been a bit bamboozled. I thought free upgrades for next gen were coming for Cyberpunk if you got the current gen versions.

I just learned that you only get some enhancements and the actual next-gen version isn’t coming until next year some time.

Think I’m gonna pass until that version hits. I’m sure I’ll have more than enough to play til then.

edit: ok, language was confusing. So you will get a free next gen upgrade but they don’t even know if it’ll hit in 2021. Ehhh, a bit conflicted still.

I have a feeling that after the DLCs and expansions CP2077 will be bigger than Witcher3, or at least around the same size.

I wonder how long that CDPR QC employee took to platinum the game.
How much time did you put in your run?
Steam shows 185 hours on mine. About 5 of those hours are from a second playthrough I stopped early on, and at least 10 are from trying to correct my trying to fuck Triss and Yennefer :D

I probably spent another 10 or 15 hours trying to get different results (loading older saves, mainly Butcher) but that still leaves a good chunk of time exploring, and doing sidequests. I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff too

I hope Cyberpunk's sidequests and exploration elements are as vast.

Wow, this adds so much to my hype. I like all the varried locations showcased here, looks incredible. Can't fucking wait!

What benefit is there to buy a PS5/XSX version? Just get a current gen version and enjoy the free upgrade for cheaper.

Enjoy the free upgrade in 2022 possibly? Eh, we’ll see.

I feel like I’ll be long past the game at that point so it feels kind of...pointless.

From what I’ve seen, it looks to be a standard FPS with GTA gameplay, generic futurescape RPG cast, average voice acting and pretty terrible character movement dynamics.

The fact that it had been 8 years in the making is a red flag for me too.

Same here, I was also impressed by how much backstory they managed to fit into such a short video. Pretty good number of gangs we can work for too.

How the Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 / Xbox Series X upgrade works
November 19
Okay, so let's start with the easy bit - the release date. On November 17, Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can lock in your Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order now, and guarantee yourself the game on current-gen platforms, or on PC.

The first Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade

However, once you've got your copy, that's when it gets interesting. The Xbox Series X launches on November 10, and the PS5 is launching on November 10 in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, followed by the rest of the world on November 19. Regardless of where you are, you can start playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 or Xbox Series X from launch day if you so wish.

Developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed (via Twitter) that "your PS4 copy of the game will work on PS5 on launch day. Anyone who buys the game on Xbox One will be able to play their copy on Xbox Series X when the console launches too!"

When originally confirming the Xbox Series X Cyberpunk 2077 upgrade, CD Projekt Red said (also via Twitter) that "gamers should never be forced to purchase the same game twice or pay for upgrades". Thanks CD!

However, it's seemingly just an upgrade to let you play the title on the next-gen consoles because the big Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade is coming later.

The second (real) Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade

Yes, that's right, the real Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade will arrive at some point in the future.

"A later upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, taking full advantage of the next-gen hardware, will be available for free," came the announcement on Twitter.

Sadly, there's no word on when that would arrive though, and CD Projekt hasn't even confirmed that it's pencilled in for 2021.

CD Projekt Red has said from early 2020 that it never intended to utilise the full power of PS5 and Xbox Series X at launch.
How will you be "long past the game at that point" if you don't buy the PS4 version?

I don't grasp the conflict. You buy a PS4 version today. That version is playable at launch on the PS5. It's still just the PS4 version, but even if you buy the game with a PS5 branding on the box, it will still be this same PS4-caliber version. As soon as the real PS5 version is available to buy, you get the upgrade for free. You lose absolutely nothing by not buying it today. Otherwise, you're just being a graphics snob by throwing your nose up at a this initial version. If in 1-2 years you are so jaded by the delay that you refuse to buy the game at all simply because it wasn't a launch title, as if to convey you perceive it as being graphically obsolete by the delay, you are taking this snobbery to the max.

Strange attitude for a console peasant.
