How the Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 / Xbox Series X upgrade works

How will you be "long past the game at that point" if you don't buy the PS4 version?

I don't grasp the conflict. You buy a PS4 version today. That version is playable at launch on the PS5. It's still just the PS4 version, but even if you buy the game with a PS5 branding on the box, it will still be this same PS4-caliber version. As soon as the real PS5 version is available to buy, you get the upgrade for free. You lose absolutely nothing by not buying it today. Otherwise, you're just being a graphics snob by throwing your nose up at a this initial version. If in 1-2 years you are so jaded by the delay that you refuse to buy the game at all simply because it wasn't a launch title, as if to convey you perceive it as being graphically obsolete by the delay, you are taking this snobbery to the max.

Strange attitude for a console peasant.
If the actual next-gen upgrade is potentially a year away, or more, why would I give a shit about that if I’ve already played and beat it? It’s gravy but I’m not in the habit of playing 100 hour games over and over. I still haven’t even played The Witcher 3 again and it’s been years.

There’s a good chance the next-gen version will have an edition with DLC included. I’d prefer to just get that down the road instead of playing a nerfed copy of the same game once and then playing a better version of it potentially a year or more later.

In short, fuck off.

Enjoy the free upgrade in 2022 possibly? Eh, we’ll see.

I feel like I’ll be long past the game at that point so it feels kind of...pointless.

Boy I hope you never find out how many times people have re-bought Skyrim. Your bloodpressure would go off the charts.

Read carefully now. If was to get and play the PS4 version I likely wouldn’t have much, if any, interest in playing the fully upgraded PS5 version a year or more later.

I’d probably prefer just to get the actual next-gen version whenever that releases and get the better experience. Instead of replaying a better looking version of a 100 hour game.

This really isn’t that hard to grasp.

Your personal preference has very little bearing on the 99.9% other people who will play the game and likely play it again many times....

Or just buy a PC and play the Next Gen version straight away like a boss.

Why the fuck would I care about what other people do with games?

I’m talking about what makes sense for me. My god, the reading comprehension here.

You're also saying it like your opinion has world wide recognition. The fact you wouldn't want to play it again if you've finished it already literally only effects you. Why the hell do we care or need to hear about it.

Same here, I was also impressed by how much backstory they managed to fit into such a short video. Pretty good number of gangs we can work for too.

display

They went with classic cyberpunk gang palette really

Got cyborg junkies, net runners, typical ethnic gangs, hookers and bouncers

It’s a forum, I’ll say what I’d like about the subject. You can fuck off too.

But then you cry when people disagree with your opinion? Like your opinion is the gold standard of opinions and that you aren't just a cockhead.

<WellThere>
How are you gonna disagree about me wanting to wait to buy something for myself?

You’re a complete bitch. Try not sticking your foot in your mouth next time.

Complete bitch yet still 100% more of a man than you are though. Nice try retardo.

Except you said that by the time the upgraded version is released down the road you’ll be “long past the game” suggesting you’re just going to get it for PS4.

Lol Jesus.

Jojo was asking why I wouldn’t just get the PS4 version and then get the free PS5 upgrade in a year or more.

I explained that if I did that, then I’d play it when I got it and likely wouldn’t have much interest when the upgrade comes maybe a year from now because I would’ve already moved on from it after playing it.

So for me, I’m leaning towards just waiting until the actual PS5 version releases and getting it then.

Literally no one who proclaims how much of a man they are is anything close to one.

Cyberpunk 2077 System Requirements: Don't Trust Projekt Red
We're confident the official Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements are far lower than what you'll actually want for the proper experience.
They're pretty cynical about the target specs CDPR released. I was shocked at how modest those are, but I thought maybe that was the case because the game was actually developed for the PS4 and XB1 as a foundation. I must say I'm a bit embarrassed I didn't immediately espy the discrepancy in the "Recommended" CPU processing power for AMD vs. Intel. Got caught sleeping. It's definitely weird.

You can't call us Console Peasants anymore! The Series X is more powerful than most gaming PCs out! Maybe what, .5% of PC Gamers will actually have a system more powerful than the Series X?

You can get the PS4 version when they release the PS5 version, and I bet itll be way cheaper still. I fully expect you to start of with Demon Souls anyways. You'll probably be on that game for a while. Ill wait on Cyberpunk reviews and see if Ill play that before Demon Souls.

Hell no bro, they may be well spec'd for their time now, but PCs will still be king, since tech moves real quick.
