Mr. Kaz sent me these sample colors by email.

Thanks bro, they look sweet. Still debating on getting a custom orange helm.

orange headgear? that would look pretty cool, what i like the most is that nobody has it, you would be the first and thats a plus.

I have provided with a more than decent amount of custom colors for the sherdog comunity, but you can also have multiple colors on a product for an extra 35%.

ah, im not sure about that one.

No worries. Source is Kaz so it's about a 100% as can be.

I'll certainly be sticking with (and vs) good quality 14s for sparring, I may be bigger than Manny but I sure don't punch like him :)

Color chart is cool to see, thanks for posting

Kaz told you manny spars in 14oz? hmm, thats interesting. i would suspect an elite level fighter should protect their partners with at least 16oz gloves.

Yup, and he's far from the only one. 14s for sparring, 10s for other training. The bigger pros use 16s, or those with a history of hand issues. With the headgear and padding advantage over fight gloves it's not too surprising, especially given that the sparring partners are all good boxers themselves.

the guys he spars with will be getting paid, not like they can complain really

Mayweather spars in 14s too, Canelo spars in 16s though.

Ya, Mayweather was talking about his gloves on and how he is fussy about weights and stuff on one of the HBO' 24/7s. In the Cotto fight Mayweather was trying to get Cotto to agree to 8oz gloves for the fight, because that is what he normally fights in.

Why so skeptical? He's right, he's sparred in 14s for years, though more recently he has infrequently used 16s.

No, I'm not skeptical, i spar in 14oz too. It's just that if it was me sparring with manny i would request 16 oz gloves. Not only would it protect himself more, but it would protect me more as well, therefore i can give a better session. As for when the fight comes, those 8oz fight gloves will feel like feathers. But every gym has their own ways of thinking and i respect that. Especially if i was getting paid just to spar

but..

they could always pay someone else to spar, someone who wouldn't complain and would just be happy they're getting ring experience with one of the best fighters on the planet

With all do respect

I care a lot about my health, i already know what its like to spar with an elite southpaw, i spar with him

With that being said, if i am worthy of being in a manny pacquiao camp, the but cannot arrange a deal with the sparring gloves being 16oz, then I'll let them find somebody else. I don't take things to heart, it may sound dumb. But to me, protection is everything.

At the time they made the article about him, his record was 106 wins 8 losses, if you read the article it also gives you an idea of what talent and dedication he has. I'm no stranger to elite competition (in amateur boxing) but when it comes to grown men. pro's. I just wouldn't feel safe with anything under 16oz

With my limited experience in the boxing scene, you don't get to choose what gear your partner uses, as long as it is actual sparring gesar... If you could control what your partner used, do you think Canelo would of let those guys hit him with JCs? The thing about high level boxers, is they can control their punches 100%; I would spar with any pro wearing whatever weight gloves they wanted over some nobody with something to prove in 16oz gloves.
