Still, I will give Cro Cop credit. At least he had the balls to fight in the UFC, unlike Fedor.

Top 10 HW of all time definitely and one of the most feared strikers in his prime. There is no way Cro Cop is anywhere near the top iof the heap n p4p, and he is not even a top ten heavyweight. He had a couple of high points, a lot of lows, and a truckload of excuses. He didn't have what it takes mentally in my opinion.
If you ever competed in anything you'd know how it's possible.

LOL comparing him to me? I don't remember claiming to be an MMA fighter much less an all time great in the sport.
Sorry but I'm not buying the "Out of prime" argument.
He was a great HW fighter in Pride but as far as the UFC goes, he wasn't even at the gatekeeper level.
Well, it's the "use it or lose it" principle. We don't know how Mirko approached his training, but, all indications pointed to the suggestion that he didn't train as hard for whatever reason. He was prepared to retire had he not won the OWGP. Winning the GP near his father's birthday may have been an emotional overload and may have given him the ultimate emotional hangover. Kind of like how a team has a big win and inexplicably loses the next game to a team they should've beat.
None of this is concrete. Just a possible explanation.
good points
True fact: Crocop never KO'd a single opponent with a head kick during his entire tenure with the UFC.
More fun facts:
Cro Cop is 4-6 in the UFC, with 4 knock out losses and 1 submission to strikes.
He has more KO losses (4) than KO wins (3) in the UFC.
The only opponent Cro Cop beat during that stretch still in the UFC is Pat Berry, who holds an illustrious 5-6 UFC record himself (against terrible competition).

I liked your post before the edit. lol
so what? all time great who had a skid at the end of his career
....point is...?
His "skid" started all the way back in 2007, right after his supposed greatest accomplishment, and it was only 7 months later he couldn't beat anybody worth talking about. He couldn't even beat the UFC gatekeepers.
Shows you how overrated Pride and Cro Cop are. Yeah, and Fedor too.
