Media Crazy stats: Olivera vs Khabib

Word.

And people say that Conor won the MMA game, but I don't think that's true. Well I guess he did, but really it destroyed him.

Khabib did the same, but then it seems has gone on to live a whole, holistic life. Has family time, helps others, and does not let the lure of more money or fame or grudges or pride draw him away from his decision to live that new life. That as well honours his father. It kind of stuck me when I saw the clip below.

I do think, as was noted below that with his backing he could cherry pick his career a bit. But he handled that better than Conor too.

And seeing as this thread is about Charles too, I agree with the post below:

To rise again after defeats is super rare and a most incredible feat. Too many times a rising fighter is never the same after a single loss. To keep improving and succeeding as Charles has is to be super admired.

Damn good post sir.

So if Weidman decided to retire after Vitor, undefeated with 3 title defenses, he'd be GOAT level right?
What a stupid point, no one has held the LW belt for more than 3 defences whereas several have held the MW belt for more than 3 defences. Weidman had 13 wins at that point, whereas Anderson had 16 in a row in the UFC. Your point sucks, as usual.

Statistic is a bitch. You can roll it all you want, but it doesn't change a fact that Khabib doesn't had a scratch on his face in 29 pro fights, lol.

Lmao sure he would've.
We'll never know

Anderson wasn't undefeated, according to khabib fanbois that is more important

5 right? Cerrone x2, Ferguson x3
They both pulled out 2 times each. The fifth fight was canceled since Khabib couldn't travel out of Russia at the beginning of covid. Tony then fought Gaethje instead and got destroyed.

The person in the Instagram post just counted all canceled bouts Khabib has without checking who pulled out.

Tony x2, Melendez, Holloway pulled out against Khabib. Also one canceled bout in M1.

Khabib wasn't the longest champ or fighter, but dominated everyone you can put in front of him. I don't personally think he could've streaked together a long run at LW because his training camps or cuts were too hard.

Anderson is definitely higher on the GOAT list than Khabib due to lack of legacy by comparison. Khabib is definitely the GOAT LW right now.

Yea Weidman should have beat 16 cab drivers first like khabib did.

Weidman jumping to UFC level opponents after just 4 fights is much more impressive than khabibs 16 cab drivers over 3 years

And let's not forget Weidman fought Maia his 8th fight ever, 4th in the UFC followed by Munoz and Anderson Silva.

Meanwhile khabibs 4th and 5th UFC fignts were vs Trujillo and Pat Healy lmao

I have asked you before, how do you feel about Conor fighting a load of cab drivers pre UFC? He shares that with khabib, only Conor managed to get submitted by a couple lol

I really don't get what pulling out of a fight has to do with your fighting abilities...

The fact that Charles has 9 losses and Khabib has 0 is the more impressive stat comparing both.

Charles has like 4 times as many losses as CM Punk. I mean, what kind of stupid comparison is that lol.

He won two belts and joe Duffy for his 6th pro fight is insane. Duffy is a better match than khabib had in his first 22 fights

This whole thread topic is a lie.

Khabib has 13 UFC victories, 0 losses. Arguably never lost a round.

Maybe Khabib pulled out of 4 fights, but Oliveira has 9 losses and has flat-out quit in 5 of them, 3 of which were literal "lay down and quits."

I'm surprised that this thread has even lasted, since the original image and message is patently false.

So to recap, Khabib signed to fight, left the country, then canceled.

But it doesn't count because reasons
It doesn't count because of a pandemic that literally shut down worldwide travel.
I'd cite fortuitous circumstances as a valid ground to justify non-performance of a contractual obligation but that's obviously a concept that is alien and perhaps too subliminal for you.
