Crawford has never been a small guy. He's always walked around heavy. We know this. It's just that he'd never fought above 154 lbs and Canelo had been at 168 for years, even as high as 175 on a couple occasions. Most guys that try to jump up two divisions to fight an ATG/HOF level fighter end up losing. The bookies had this between a 60/40 and 55/45 fight, so Canelo wasn't a huge favorite, but he was expected to win.

Yeah, Crawford isn't going to fight Benavidez or likely any of the other guys that are natural SMWs at the top of the division. Nobody should expect him to. He's a natural junior middleweight.

Big fan of Crawford and I've stood by that too! Spence was never the same after the crash. I watched him fight Garcia and there were so many points where he was literally spazzing out -- we'll never see that fight the way it was supposed to be. But at the same time, I still pick Crawford to dismantle Spence because the way it actually happened was so 'unbalanced.'

IMHO Spence should pick another way in life after shit happened. Good that he is is in better shape than he more likely might had be today.
