Crawford has no chance against Canelo

Crawford has a chance, don’t be ridiculous. Berlanga, Munguia, and Ryder… you don’t think Crawford could have beaten them and possibly stopped them too? I think he wasn’t acclimated to 154 enough for Madrimov, but I think in a rematch he runs away with it.,,, he has a damn good chance
I should have followed my gut, logic had me thinking Canelo slight favorite by size, BUT Crawford has answered the questions I had about him. Now it looks like he was just business minded, down to earth, food on the table,” when the moneys right” kind of guy

After last night I’d wager Crawford barely trained for b listers he faced or was just draining the absolute shit out of himself to make lower weights. Last night he looked the bigger man to me.

I WAS JOKING YOU IDIOT!!

Saying a trackstar has no chance against a slow footed zero adjustment on the fly fighter is insane.

All Crawford had to do was pop and run.

Track star? What the hell are you talking about?

Bud boxed primarily off the back foot and moved around the ring well, but he spent plenty of time in the pocket where he out gunned Canelo and larglely out muscled him in the clinch.

Don't feed the troll

First off, I think pound-for-pound, prime vs prime, Crawford (~2020 at 147) was a better fighter than Canelo (~2024 at 168)

...but Canelo is several years closer to his prime, and his prime was in a division 21 pounds heavier!
😝

I know so how does this loss against Bud change his contract?
His $400 million deal is already signed so it should be contractually guaranteed. The Saudis are paying guys like Canelo & Usyk nine figures per fight in guaranteed purse money. Canelo just made $150 million, Usyk made $132 million in his last fight.

Spence though.... The guy took career ending beatings in multiple car accidents before those fights. I don't think Spence was ever the same after the first one.
Big fan of Crawford and I've stood by that too! Spence was never the same after the crash. I watched him fight Garcia and there were so many points where he was literally spazzing out -- we'll never see that fight the way it was supposed to be. But at the same time, I still pick Crawford to dismantle Spence because the way it actually happened was so 'unbalanced.'

You're comparing a prime version of Crawford to a past prime version of Canelo. The latter has shown noticeable decline within the last few years. He hasn't even scored a stoppage in 4 years. Neither is in their physical prime today. Crawford will be 38 at the end of the month. As for Canelo he may be younger in age but not in fight years. He has more mileage on him since he's had more fights and against tougher opposition. Do you know when Canelo turned pro? Twenty years ago. For Crawford it's been 17 years.
Canelo has taken grueling punishment throughout his later career, but regardless - a two weight jump in unchartered pro territory is nothing short of greatness.

Wouldn't the Yordenis Ugás fight be more relevant?

I'm sure he was well aware that Canelo could lose.
Perhaps, but it's pretty clear that he expected that Canelo would probably win. Certainly Canelo would have been the fighter who would have generated the mega fight buz he's looking for. After the Crawford fight they were probably going to make the rematch with Bivol or a Benavidez showdown.

Now Turkery is talking about Benavidez coming down to 168 to fight Crawford. Benavidez isn't making that weight and Crawford's team has publicly stated that they aren't interested in that fight. That's several big an lucrative fights that simply won't happen now.
