Could Joe Biden have beaten Trump? Could he have won the rematch if given the opportunity?

Trump was unliked by many including those from his own party. Joe won before. The economy was doing well.

Joe had his fans and was an easy vote for those who did not trust Trump. Kamala on the other hand turned all the independent voters against the Democrats with her DEI and transgender platform, it was farther left than many Americans felt comfortable with. This caused many independents to switch sides. RFK, Tulsi Gabbord, Joe Rogan, and Elon Musk brought over the independent voters, costing the Democrats the election. They lost ground in every state vs. the last election of Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden.

I think Joe could have won.

Question asks who you think would have won in this scenario. Not who you like or dislike.

Bigger chance than Kamala.
If he stayed away from debates and just came out once a week and did some aww shucks routine, it's possible.
At least it wouldn't have been the absolute embarrassment that actually happened with kamala. remember all those clowns around here who were pumping her up?
"weird", lol. absolute clowns.

I dont think so after the first debate. It was more about his state and ability to go 4 more years. Dems were stuck really when he stayed in so long and there was little time to react. Joe should have run in 2016.

I would say not with the way a certain small sect of entitled were steering that ship. Alienating the majority of Americans with ultra progressiveness and gaslighting.
Economy was shit;
They doubled down on best economy ever. Proving the increases in prices did not adversely affect them as much as it did the American Voter.

Economy will go so good under Trump that you will elect dems candidate again...4 years is just one election cycle.
Economy under Trump will be funny bad BTW.
Ofc MAGA will ignore reality....

Imagine making 20,000 posts for less than 10,000 likes lmao

What are you doing here other than just screaming into the void? Even the people you are pandering to don't like your posts.

Biden ofc too old but he had idea to boost U.S independence and jobs in U.S with chips factories in U.S.
Trump wants to improve U.S voters life with high import tariffs for import from Canada...u will see nice prices and nice bills.

He wasn't gonna win. His decline was steep, to the point where we have barely seen him since the election. People say the debate sunk him, but it was the mostly incoherent appearance he gave AFTER the debate that led the Dems to understand he wasn't capable of either winning or running the country anymore. They made that bed in 2020 knowing he was the surest bet to beat Trump and it worked. Biden won easily. They kicked the can down the road, and likely knew it was a crapshoot as to how capable he'd be in 2024 but it was worth it to them at the time to beat Trump.

Likely there was a ton of internal disagreement within the party LONG before the debate as to whether to pull him, but he was with it enough that it was his choice. He held on, and thus no primary and they were stuck with a completely unelectable candidate. They tried like hell to push her but in the end everyone (including most of her supporters) knew she was a terrible person to try to get elected.

I believe Trump was comfortably ahead in the polls, which was the main reason the Democrats pulled Biden and replaced him with Harris.

As far as the economy goes, yes, many of the numbers were approaching pre-pandemic levels (that is to say, not actually improving, but merely returning to "normal"), but the average American didn't feel that. Voters felt their money wasn't going as far, and they were losing control of decisions that were important to them.

I think Biden would have lost and Harris could have won, but it was all botched badly by the Democrats, and America chose with their ballots.

Joe Biden was forced out because of his low approval rating and the debate just cemented the need for the DNC to get rid of him. I don't see Biden winning if he stayed in the race.
