Why? Cotto is fighting Margarito, not Mayweather.

And Mayweather is fighting Oscar, not Cotto.

they'll fight IF Cotto remains undefeated after he fights Tony. If not, Mayweather may use that loss as an excuse not to fight Cotto. Not that he needs an excuse, I think he'd win a dec. or maybe a shocking late rd TKO..Floyd that is

There would be no reason to fight Cotto if he loses to Margarito.

Floyd's most-likely path is to fight Oscar, and then re-match Hatton. THEN consider the actual best Welterweight in the World a worthy challenger, if ever. It's all about dollars now, and not much more.

Well, IF it happens Mayweather....depending on how many years away it is and how both look in the meantime.

I'd go with Mayweather by ud. I think Cotto has a great mind for boxing but he is a little sluggish and that would be the difference.

I take Mayweather UD, this is the fight I want to see. No doubt we'll have the 2 rematches first though.

You think he'll fight Hatton again, huh? God, I hope not...I just dont see any reason for that. Mayweather dominated the fight and ended it with a KO. Hatton gets another chance because why?

Yeh I think so, the appeal of fighting in England at Wembley Stadium in front of 90,000 people is going to draw Mayweather into it. I agree it makes no boxing sense, even at 140 Mayweather will win. As a boxing fan I don't want to see it, as a betting man I'll be pretty happy. I didn't throw enough on Mayweather last time & I know Hattons fans will ensure the odds on Mayweather are a lot better than they should be.

Holy shit, I just saw you say 90,000! Where will they fight that has that kind of capacity? Ill be seriously depressed if Mayweather/Hatton II gets that close to Dempsey/Tunney attendance figures...

Wembley Stadium. It holds 90,000 for football(soccer). I thought it would be about 70/80,000 for Boxing but somebody on here before said it will be 90,000 if the fight happens. I live about 10 minutes from there so I would definitely have to check it out for the atmosphere, would be quite amazing I imagine.

This is true. Not to mention mayweathers next bout is a rematch with de la hoya (assuming he gets past 2 pound)

lol...gotta be honest ms...im starting to get this feeling tony outhustles cotto. Tony will make Cotto fight a full 12. He's not a cutie like some of Cotto's past opponents.

I just can't get Cotto "boxing" the last 3 rounds out of my head.
