With the exception of everybody with a functional forebrain......who could have possibly foreseen this disaster?

Just wait until year 3 when the US currency is trading @ 0.30 Euro.
Thanks Maga!!!

Did you mean 1:1 with the ruble?

We all know that will never happen with a Republican in office. Remember back in the day when Trump wanted to break up big tech companies and now they are going to his inauguration? It's so funny to me how Repubs are so "free market" and anti-competition simultaneously. I mean Kamala and dozens of other states gave Trump an idea he could use which is to enact a Federal Price Gouging Ban, but renaming landmarks and bodies of water are more important I guess.

The "tech Bros" are at the helm of the most ardent anti-Democracy movement. It's no coincidence that Musk, Thiel, Zuckerberg, Andreessen, Vance, and Yarvin a know each other and have known each other for decades. These are the guys who think the US should be a collection of corporate territories run by their respective "CEO" entities. Yarvin has been writing for decades that "Americans need to get over their fear of dictatorship" and sh*t like that. I think he also defined democracy as "the common want for the greater good" or some sh*t like that. Because removal of defining it as political participation on all levels of citizenship doesnt justify removing it. This dude made an argument that FDR was a dictator because he adjusted plans made by others, as if there werent oppositional politicians in office who curtailed some of his efforts (there absolutely were, and they absolutely did).

These guys want democracy over, and given the influence they have on information and the greedy narcissistic idiot that's in office, this is their best chance. This aligns with the religious right as well, who celebrate hierarchical thinking and are salivating at the idea that these oligarchs will allow it to be legal to religiously oppress people as well so long as the money keeps flowing upward.

- The bigger the corporations the better.
- No one needs to vote, we'll take care of it.
- Give all the tax money to the billionaire "geniuses" because they're just better at moneying.
- You can just work and live at the respective plant in your sector.
- Your kids dont need school, they dont need education. They just need to know how to man the plant accordingly, or pick the crops we need to eat for slave wages.
- No we wont teach you engineering, we will outsource that, or import workers we can perpetually threaten with deportation because its cheaper and we can exploit them without legal recourse.
- You are a permanent underclass who cannot vote, because you're an idiot who doesnt know what's best for you. We know what's best for you.

This is all within the framework of their philosophy for the US.

Now I know the righties are going to p'shaw at this because they probably dont know who he is, or won't admit that they know and support who he is...but he has writing titled "The End of American Democracy" and "Why America Should Become A Monarchy."

Trump FAILS Day 1 promise to 'end inflation'

Inflation is up 3% despite Trump's campaign pledge to 'beat the hell' out of it.

As a candidate last year, Donald Trump suggested he could easily conquer inflation and ease voters’ fears about the economy.

“I will very quickly deflate,” he promised at a California rally. “We are going to take inflation, and we are going to deflate it. We are going to deflate inflation. We are going to defeat inflation. We’re going to knock the hell out of inflation.”...

On Wednesday, the president called for interest rate cuts, even though rate hikes by the Federal Reserve helped lower inflation that spiked at a four-decade high in 2022.

The latest consumer price figures have unnerved economists and the financial markets because they suggest that strong consumer spending, solid job gains and a falling unemployment rate could reignite inflation. Steady demand, particularly from wealthier consumers, makes it easier for companies to keep raising prices....

...
Trump has placed 10% tariffs on China, in addition to announcing the removal of exemptions on his 2018 steel and aluminum tariffs. There are also potential tariff hikes on Canada and Mexico and a potential executive order that would increase tariffs to match the import taxes charged by other countries.

All of this means that baseline inflationary pressures could be at their highest level in decades.

“Disinflation may be dead, and we may be looking at a higher rate of inflation than we observed for the 20 years prior to the pandemic,”...

...Trump’s call for lower rates puts him in opposition to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell.

“If inflation goes up in general, we will use our tools, which is the interest rate, to bring it back down to 2% over time,” Powell told a congressional committee on Wednesday. Powell also said that Trump’s calls to lower rates wouldn’t sway the Fed....

...Musk, the world’s richest man who continues to control Tesla, X and SpaceX among other companies, wants to eliminate $1 out of every $7 spent by the federal government in order to bring the inflation rate to zero. ...

...
“If you cut the budget deficit by a trillion between now and next year, there is no inflation,” Musk said. “And if the government is not borrowing as much, it means that interest costs decline. So everyone’s mortgage, their car payment, their credit card bills, anything, their student debt, the monthly payments drop. That’s a fantastic scenario for the average American.”

Such a steep cut might bring lower prices but also the pain of a sharp economic downturn.

“That would be a roughly 4% of GDP cut to federal spending, all in one year,” said Michael Linden, a senior policy fellow at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth. “It would be an instant recession.”...

Then why the fuck was Vance LITERALLY TALKING ABOUT THE PRICE OF EGGS on the campaign trail? Because under Biden it's because of policy. When it's Trump it's external factors outside of his control. Real honest.

Vance is the reason I keep using the term "grosheries"...because of his defunct nonsensensical store appearances which made him seem like he wasnt from this planet and hasn't the foggiest f*ckin idea what food actually costs nowadays (highlight by the fact that he quoted a wrong price while standing in front of the d@mn price tag).

All groceries I buy at Aldi have come back down to prices from before they rose the last few years... One example is the cheap tortilla chips, they rose to $2.49 +/- and are back down to $1.79... hummus was up to $2.79 and is now $1.99 again. Just two of many examples... Gas was up to around $3.30 in December and is now $2.80... gas of course fluctuates and I've seen it consistently lower recently... Don't believe the lies and manipulation.

I will reduce inflation in United States.
Donald Trump.

I think that 25% import tariffs on aluminium will improve living standards in U.S.
Donald Trump.

BTW historically Metallic form aluminium is produced where near is source of cheap electricity. Cheaper : better.

Turns out borrowing money we don't have and probably wont be able to pay back, then funneling overseas to be kicked back to politicians and major corporations is a bad idea.

Cheapest metallic form aluminium today might supply Canada, Iceland and New Zealand. This reality. They are cheaper than China in this niche. If MAGA does want more expensive aluminium then why not. Better 250% tariffs today....will be happy.

The whole system is predicated on bad ideas and greed.

Usury always guarantees the consolidation of wealth in the hands of a few, and the eventual decline of any Nation that it takes place in.

Welcome to the chaos era

No one will believe your lies and manipulation. Don't worry. And that should be expected from you as a person who believes there is no truth and only perception. <lol>

Consumer goods are up pretty much across the board since Trump came in and that is fact.
