Too many people don't know the difference between big and tall lol, he is tall but very skinny.
For example I have seen Glover and Reyes in person and Glover is a way bigger guy. Skinny doesn't mean you're bigger lol, are they taller? yes. Taller is the correct word
Depends strictly on whoever has a better strategy that they can executeI mean if two people weigh similarly but one is much taller and longer which one would you say is more physically advantaged. it isn't that hard to figure out.
Last time i checked, Sandhagen is 7-2 in the UFC, but yeah let's completely disregard that.
Let's also disregard that he outstruck Dillashaw by a wider margin than *any* fighter before him or that he clearly did more damage to TJ than vice-versa.
Having losses happens if you fight the best of the best and 135 is easily one of the best divisions in the UFC; in terms of strikers it probably is the best.
"BJ Penn's longest win streak is 7 fights long and has a couple of losses even in his prime. Therefore he could not have been that good."
- User4908 (probably)
I repeat he is 6 foot tall at 135. He is ducking his natural weight class.. play your semantics for all I care.He would be significantly smaller in mass at FW than his opponents. He has never missed weight or had a hard time cutting weight. He is tall but skinny as fuck. MMA has weight classes not height classes.
Anybody that even uses the term "Weight Bully" is a moron, if you can make the weight, that's your weight class. 90% of these guys are at the lowest weight class possible.
It depends, the taller guy will have a better range more than likely, but will be easier to take down because of longer legs and skinny torso. it will be easy to wrap your arms around Reyes and get a body lock on him, but Glover I'd imagine very difficult.I mean if two people weigh similarly but one is much taller and longer which one would you say is more physically advantaged. it isn't that hard to figure out.
has what? lolI wouldn't criticize it either, Jon Jones has
Fair enough, but i still like to have these debates/put threads like these out - not just because the things they are directly about, but also because they can adress several other things/more fundamental things on a wider spectrum.i feel like u are arguing against the small minority. some people have said things about coreys size but its not really the narrative around a sandhagen fight. sure some people are gonna say it, just kind of ignore those people
Thank you! Glad you could take something away from the thread.Haha, I'm not a Cory fan, but you're definitely right in this regard @Ironnik94 . As a fellow tall skinny guy, I can relate to this thread.
Sandhagen is 7-2 overall, just 2-2 in his last four but he could be 3-1 and no one could complain. The fight can be scored for either man, but Cory did more damage.- Not 2-2
- Didn’t lose to TJ
- World beater the equivalent of prime Penn
Either you’re good at excuse making or just flat out delusional

I agree fellow sherbro.Too many people don't know the difference between big and tall lol, he is tall but very skinny.
For example I have seen Glover and Reyes in person and Glover is a way bigger guy. Skinny doesn't mean you're bigger lol, are they taller? yes. Taller is the correct word
Obviously, if they miss weight they shouldn't fight there, but if they can make it, they can make it... not sure how that compares to weighing in a month beforehand lolI disagree.
People like Costa, Pereira, Tibau, etc cut well over 20 pounds and some over 25 pounds.
Those guys don't belong in the weight classes they compete in.
Some fighters end up going to the ER over failed cuts and make excuses why they did not make weight.

"Weight classes exist for a reason. That reason is to ensure that fighters of more or less the same size as their opponents, in the spirit of fairness."

I guess if cage weight does not matter to some of you guys lets just have them weigh in a month away from the match and everybody will be super safe.
And yet he is lighter than many of his opponents (possibly all of them), yet you don't think they should fight at their "real weightclass".Dudes almost 6 foot tall at 135. He's ducking his real weight class. Play all the bs semantics you want. He should be at FW.
Very weird how some guys get picked out as weight bullies and some don't, even if they are cutting a similar amount of weightweight or size bully doesnt exist, this is just the butthurtedness of those who dont like a certain fighter.
people call Khabib a weight bully, and always point out that Tibau who is much bigger, beat Khabib even tho he didnt, and never call his massive size into questionVery weird how some guys get picked out as weight bullies and some don't, even if they are cutting a similar amount of weight
