Cory's an old 33 year old BW, only got a title shot off 1 injury win because Merab's beaten everybody else and likes to be active, has lost multiple and every other title eliminator and title fight he's ever had, and has been competing for over a decade. He's been at the same level for 5 years now and never got further no matter who the top of the division was. This is his ceiling.

Stop trying to make Cory happen. He's a fun exciting active fighter and should be appreciated for that, but he's never been the best in the world and never will be.

Merab by KO was +650 and sub was +750.

Dog, Merab by decision WAS the expected outcome. Congrats on losing exactly how everybody thought he would.

All he needs is power but otherwise the top 4-5 walk through him. The Yan fight is the perfect example of this and I think Sean chews his up from the outside. Awesome talent and seems like a cool guy. Honestly I thought Merab had the better striking and I will lose it if Merab decides to keep the fight against Yan standing and he wins. Keep in mind, Merab is already calling out Yan which is hard to justify after his first fight with the guy.
