It has occasionally also been the best in the world in some divisions in the last decade, but hardly a lock down in all, and if you go down to Top 10 level (obviously still very good) it gets way murkier.
Probably a fair minority of non UFC guys could float in and out.

Vera got completely outclassed against O’Malley and got dropped by Figgy. Cory took him to a boring decision where he never committed to any of his strikes

Lost the first two rounds against song and only started to win as song lost more and more blood. Yan throughly outclassed song with a torn groin and meniscus from the very first minute

Plus he in my humble opinion got gifted a decision win against a 5 foot 3 lineker. Argue about the philosophy of when you call a fight a robbery all you want, I didn’t agree with the decision so I’m counting it against him. Rocked and outgrappled by a guy he had 8 inches of height on

Can only knock out an old man like edgar who was on a 3 fight losing streak at 38, and moraes who was on a 2 fight losing streak, and would then lose another 6 fights in a row

You can be a very good fighter and still be overrated if people act like you’re champion level despite losing to everyone who actually is

How is he overrated though? You didn't really explain that, you just ripped apart his resume.

How many people think he's the best fighter in the world? Not that many. He's rated as a top 5 guy, and based on what you listed, that seems like he's a top 5 guy. Maybe there are guys in bellator who can beat him, but within the UFC he is properly rated.

The overwhelming majority of people would pick O'Malley over Sandhagen.

I know people complain about too much gambling advertising on TV these days, but this is the perfect example of the utility of betting lines.

Cory Sandhagen has had 14 UFC fights. On the betting lines, Sandhagen was favored to win 10 of those fights, and was the underdog in 4 UFC fights.

Sandhagen in fact has a 10-4 UFC record.

Of those 10 wins, only one was an upset (against Lineker). Of those 4 losses, only one was an upset (against Dillashaw).

The fact is that Sandhagen has won 90% of the fights he was favored to win, and has only won 1/4 fights he was expected to lose.

Verdict: OP is objectively wrong.
