it is probably 20x more wuhan is as large as L.A metro area the problem with this corona virus is that it can mutate into something far worse and anything attacking your lungs can kill you some espn reporter just died of pneumonia which is supposed to be fairly easy to treat.

Thank god the Russian government realized hundreds of lives were at stake and asked for help from other non-communist countries. Their embarrassment wasn't a concern, but the lives of their citizens.

Obviously, without any question, China is being 100% honest about this situation, as they always have been about everything.
 
Current reported deaths at 565. Seems to be holding at about 2% mortality. I don't know how they differentiate it from any other flu strain. I'm sure more detailed information on the patients that died will be available.

They announced a new case in Wisconsin in Madison. I thought it might have been a Chinese student returning for second semester but it was a Wisconsin resident.

The patient is a Wisconsin resident who recently visited Beijing, China, and was exposed to cases while in China.

Test results for coronavirus came back positive on Wednesday. The patient was tested for the virus at UW Hospital in Madison.

DHS staff said the patient is “doing well” and is no longer in the hospital. However, the patient is currently in isolation at their home.

There was a suspected case in Milwaukee but I haven't heard any more on that.

There's too many people in China is that the problem?

If I get a cold around here I can typically avoid people but they are crowded as fuck and probably constantly touch faces when sick

Not really sure about Wuhan if it's too crowded. My guess is that the cause of the problem is that ncov was already detected by some scientists in December, but the govt didn't tell the people about it, then they had this huge food gathering festival of some sort which I think spread the disease.

I'm also worried that there are some infected in India already. Their population is very dense and sanitation is pretty poor so it's going to be a big issue. I've been following the news closely (also non mainstream news) and i'm fairly certain that this problem is much much worse.

2020 is really kicking us in the dick huh
 
Lower mortality rate than SARS, but higher infection rate. Smaller percentage of a much larger pool are going to die, so overall death toll is gonna be much higher than SARS. Also i think that China is underreporting.
 
I’m flying for work and all the Chinese are in masks....I’m like motherfuckers, you started this shit, stay the fuck home. At least I don’t get hit with their ass breath.
