Numbers don't lie.

No they don't but they are misinterpreted all the time. He also convieniently cherry picked South Korea while ignoring the mortality in Italy, Iran, and China as well as the worldwide mortality rate which is 3.4%+

Plus you can probably add a 0 on China’s death numbers
And that’s not even an exaggeration

According to Wikipedia the stock market crashed

Can't trust numbers from China. But if you believe them their mortality rate has been dropping also. Iran well they probably have no clue how many people infected. Italy is still trying to figure this out also. Plus more studies are coming out that show the same. What's happening in Italy is because we are not 100% sure all the details of this virus. Plus the have a real ageing population which this flu tends to hit hardest. So it's smart what they are doing in my opinion.

Milan, this night announcement extend something here was already a thing to the rest of the nation
What’s public perspective like?
Whatever you’ve got going on we’re gunna have in the UK in two weeks clearly

and literally not a soul in my large circles gives a fuck and I mean that

is anyone worried, are the local businesses struggling?

Nobody south of Napoli cares what the government says.

damn, how old is that italy crowd?, 42% of the 80-89 year olds......... sounds like the virus hit a senior living facility, hence the distorted numbers.
Italy is a bit funny compared to other countries in Europe in that a lot of people live with their parents WELL into adulthood, sometimes until the kids themselves can be called senior citizens. Here in Norway, on the other hand, people move out when they're 18-19, and after that most of them only see their parents sporadically, heh. So young people here who catch the virus are not suddenly going to infect all the old folks. But in Italy, every young person who gets it will probably have passed it on to both their parents and grandparents before the evening is over, and I would guess that's why so many old people are dying there now. (Consider this an uneducated guess, though - I have no actual numbers to back this up with, only my impressions of the country, direct and indirect.)

People are worried about a disease that likely will not touch them, and ignore the fact we're going to surely face an HUGE economic strike

never been to italy, interesting. Italy is far from a settled number, they are testing rigorously now and there's some sort of lag there. From day to day, there's been an increase of 2000 cases, however the death toll from day to day, dropped a bit? one day fluctuation doesnt mean too much, so it needs to play out for a bit.

Italian surgeons point of view from the heart of quarantine

*read this shit*

It's long and translated, but worthwhile
