Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but its 21 degrees(69.8) in Qom Iran tomorrow.
It was 17(62.6) today abd its predicted to be 25(77) wednesday.

I dont think hotter weather makes a blind bit of difference.

"
Studies done many years ago showed that the “regular” coronavirus (which is one of the causes of the common cold) can survive on surfaces 30 times longer in places with a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius compared to those where the temperature is 20 degrees Celsius and humidity levels are high.

More recently, scientists from Hong Kong University (HKU) including Professor Malik Peiris and Professor Seto Wing Hong showed that low temperatures and low relative humidity allowed the SARS virus to survive much longer than they would in high temperatures and humidity."

Okay I just received a Memo from our management that they are planning to cut down pay or work time or even have us on unpaid leave.

They are doing this in anticipation of low income due to the travel bans etc.

So I might be unemployed and broke by next month.

I'm sorry man. I'm a little nervous for myself and my staff to be honest. We just had a small rebound in business and now I'm concerned that I'm going to have to start cutting payroll.

Please stop with this nonsense some of you are saying.

if South Korea can test hundreds of thousands so can the US. Stop saying we can’t do things because of our size. It’s a lie.
If the “greatest country on earth at doing everything” can’t do it what hope does any other country have.

"Disruptions are almost certain to multiply in the weeks to come. Airlines are scaling back flights. Conferences, including Austin’s signature event, South by Southwest, are being canceled. The drop in imports is hurting global supply chains. Corporations are prohibiting their employees from traveling and attending mass gatherings. Stanford University just canceled its in-person classes for the rest of the winter quarter, and other institutions are likely to take similar steps. Government agencies and private companies alike will activate continuity-of-operations protocols, as they are called in my field. Get used to it."

Is there an age breakdown of Italy’s deaths?

Those poor folks are dropping like crazy.

500 so far

damn, how old is that italy crowd?, 42% of the 80-89 year olds......... sounds like the virus hit a senior living facility, hence the distorted numbers.

My thoughts exactly. I was reading this article moments before Sherbro asked for info about the ages of the deceased. Had to double check before I quoted it. Weird indeed.

The surge of cases in Italy is odd. Unless other EU states arent being that transparent, the numbers are so crazy its insane.

Italy nearly 10k cases and nearly 500 deaths.
Germany, france ans Spain combined 3300 cases

Such an alarming spread in Italy.

It's possible that the outbreak in Italy has been going on undetected for a long time. Look at how many cases around the world are traced back to Italy. Italy has been spreading around the world for a while now.

I know, I know. China and their reporting and all that. I hope this is true, at least.
Have my suspicions about china using drugs before they clear clinical trials.

Rapid testing is still #1 for any country not willing to treat its citizens with untested drugs

Call your representatives if you're american. Yell about testing

Super nervous for my restaurant industry in Pigeon Forge/ Smoky mountains area. We are the 2nd most visited park in the nation and we are about to start our season. Numbers haven't dropped yet but travel and going out to eat will obviously be the first thing people cut out in a time like this as well as a recession.

Rumours floating on Twitter that the whole of Italy is going on lockdown

Holy fuck

Heard the CDC is finally allowing private testing. We may start seeing some spikes in the US, if you haven't picked up a few extra canned goods and shit to hold you through it now would probably be the time. Better to load up a little earlier than when people who may be infected through community spread start loading up.

Think of it this way, it just takes an asymptomatic cashier handling goods to get your entire house potentially sick.

I think all together I am around $80.00-$100.00 in on stuff. If it doesn't pop off i'll just consume over the next year. Meh. Hope I am wrong and it all dies out boyos, feel like a paranoid prepper. Picked up some chicken breasts and froze them, some frozen veggies, some canned shit etc.
