Conor v Islam

Actually the casuals probably dont even know who he is, as in the general audience that viewed Mcgregor vs Khabib. I dont think they will remember someone so fondly for a one off attack as there were multiple guys and he would just be known as one of the guys that were involved in the scuffle. Conor has never had actual bad blood with Mackhachev other than 1 or 2 tweets aimed at him so you cant sell that rivalry. It needs to be an heated event or incident between the 2 to generate interest that justifies saying that both these fighters have 'bad blood' in that it would make people want to really see them fight. Also in the UFC fight, they didnt get Mackhacev fighting post fight, so the majority of people who watched Khabib vs Mcgregor didnt see him in the altercation.

At the moment you're just speculating and making an assumption that Conor vs Islam would be bigger than Cowboy. At the end of the day that fight makes no sense at all. Who has Islam beat to deserve to fight Conor Mcgregor?? There are far bigger fights with bigger names. It makes no sense for Conor to fight a #11 ranked guy to then warrant a TS against Khabib, that would literally contradict Khabib in saying that Conor would have to go on a massive win streak in order to justify a title shot and all that stuff.

This is nothing more than just a want from you. Every fan has their ideal or dream match up so theres not much point in discussing this further since this wont happen.

The ufc could use khabib as hype and you know this

Anyway forget about all that

Would fighting Islam be good preparation to fight khabib?

Yes or no?

I agree that Islam doesn't deserve the fight, but it is a good fight to prepare for khabib

If he really believes he is better than Khabib then Islam should be easy money imo

Conor would throw everything but the kitchen sink against Makhachev if he wanted, just like with Khabib, the knock out 36 moons ago, the so called USADA violation that never was ; Conor would amplify 10 times more, "backward culture", his 'lack of english", "probably can't even speak russian properly as well", "why does Islam never use russian flag ?" He could just have a look on forums about what russians think of north caucasus people and here we go... Conor definitely does his homework when it comes to his mental warfare.

Conor never had bad blood with Aldo and look what happened. Islam is still associated with Khabib, that in itself makes him a target for Conor.

Casuals know khabib, they know Islam too even if they don't care much about him. Just like they know who are Artem and Dillon Danis as well. The fight would defo sell, they would tune in to see their Idol Conor spark out that "dagestani bum".

conor did what he needed at 145 and thru 2017 at 170, 155 with eddie then the biggest fight ever. expect him to pull a gsp and come back only if he see an easy opportunity. years down the road...sorry to make you cry...but i thought you knew conor /.lmao

the boxing match worked bc of the mystique and super human skills that MCGREGOR SEEMED TO POSSES AT THE TIME.. lightning in a bottle..masvidal was the next to take advantage.. making people believe he could actually beat usman

Islam beats him more times than not. These Dagestani guys got Conor’s number... terrible style for a man with weak grappling, ground game and cardio. And even more important, all that trash talk doesn’t seem to take their focus away, which is one of McGregor’s biggest weapons.

ali doesn't get to "offer" title shots.
Haha yeah because UFC surely wouldn’t give him one with a win over Khabib’s teammate right? They tried to push a TS for him after getting dominated by Khabib with a lone win over a losing-streak Cowboy... at another weight class... after Cowboy promised publicly he wouldn’t grapple/would be happy to lose.

He doesn’t need to fight an Ali fighter to be in line for a title fight with a win.

I won’t engage the cowboy threw the fight narrative.

Conor is smoking weed and retired

It isn’t a narrative, it is an objective fact that he said he wouldn’t grapple/would not be upset with a loss in an interview prior to the fight. I understand you’re a PR account who is tasked with defending that fight at all costs but I’m not going to allow you to do a rewrite of objective facts.

It would be a way more meaningful fight than the fight vs Cerrone. It’s also far from a gimme fight for Conor. Will never happen though, like you said.
Conor isn't interested in something unless it's a title shot that's handed to him without earning it. He's the biggest bitch in the game today.

and what is the relevance of your objective facts? why are you bringing it up here? if you want to say something be direct about it.

here's another guy who threw his fight:

“I get to go in there and fold up Rumble Johnson like a nice load of laundry,” Cormier said on UFC Tonight on Wednesday.

“No wrestling. I’m standing up with Rumble Johnson. You say you’re going to knock me – prove it to me on April 8th. I’ll be waiting for you. I’m going to stand with this dude. What’s the worst that can happen?”
objective facts.......lol

I’m framing the context for just how little that fight meant in terms of credit for a TS, yet they wanted to give him a TS regardless.

DC lying about his strategy and saying he’d steamroll Rumble isn’t in the same universe as Cerrone promising not to exploit Conor’s weakest skill set and saying he’d be content to lose. Nice try though.

Dc was exactly the same. Saying he was going to stand up and saying what’s the worst that can happen, knowing the worst was loss by ko.

but yeah both were throwing the fight.

DC said he would destroy Rumble.
Cerrone said he’d be happy to lose.
Those two things are opposites.

DC lied saying he would stand with Rumble then took him down. He won.
Cerrone told the truth about not taking Conor down. He kept his word. He lost.
Those are opposites as well.

I know you’re paid to obscure things but this one is a mountain you can’t climb ha.

Lol. Keep acting as if cerrone’s words mean he was throwing the fight.......

Nothing cerrone said was implying he didn’t want to win. They both said the same fucking thing.

And rumble initiated the grappling with dc. Cerrone ducked under for a takedown in the first exchange.

But whatever. Keep your tinfoil hat on tight bro. And stop pussy footing around it.

This is nonsense. The ufc will never book Conor vs Islam and Ali knows that, he’s just using conors name to get Islam exposure

Respect for at least upping your PR game at the end and using “tinfoil hat” which usually gets good results. A hell of a lot better then saying a guy who said he’d crush his opponent (DC) said “the same fucking thing” as a guy that said he’d be fine with losing (Cerrone). No one who has ever competed at anything in life would equate those two...

What’s the worst they can happen bro?

Dude. Obviously if you say you want to keep it standing with a guy where your advantage is grappling you are throwing the fight. Duh.

He then took him down and won by RNC.

I get what you’re doing though. Get the guy who is pointing out Cerrone’s words before the fight to talk about another fight instead, and equivocate two unlike things to try and make people think the obvious shit you don’t want to argue (Cerrone’s interview) really is like that nonsensical distraction you’d prefer people to focus on (DC). Keep at it I guess...

Conor sells himself. He doesn't need to fight Khabib to make money.

He can follow a Sanchez-Pettis-Lawler route and have big easy paydays.
