Nah don't see the point of this fight. Islam's chinny, if Adriano Martins can stop him Conor starches him, should he ever fight again. What we need, especially if Khabib is on the shelf/retires is Justin Conor, either way we get a brutal finish, win-win.

Kinda hard when Diego keeps ducking Islam. Last year Islam's camp was pushing for this but nothing happened.

Even recently in interviews CDF asks for everyone but Islam, including those ranked above and below Islam - Dober, Hernandez, Iaquinta and Felder.

Let me help you out here sir: Ali does not run the UFC, or, for that matter, Khabib. Khabib and his camp do not get to determine when or on what terms Conor gets his rematch (which he is likely to lose, as I am sure most of us agree).

Furthermore, the Islam fight with NEVER happen. Ever. Islam is a nobody, Khabib's understudy but without the record, funny quotes, or highlight reel. Furthermore, McGregor wants to fight strikers he can style on, and the UFC agrees. Why would he fight a less-dynamic wrestler, beating whom would earn him no increase in money, popularity, or a standing?

And beating McGregor as Little Khabib would not help Islam become a star either. The UFC has nothing to gain from this. It will never ever happen. Ever.

I'd fucking watch. Conor gets passed around the Dagestani AKA boys like a joint? Sign me the fuck up. If he wins, hell yes he deserves a title shot. But he won't that's the catch. Therefore it's all fantasy. That fight will never happen.
 
Islam smashes Conor. He significantly bigger than Conor & Khabib. And we know Conor struggles with guys 3x his size.
 
Khabib is not ever granting Conor a fight. Conor claimed to not train hard and partied for their fight . Khabib don’t respect the opponent enough anymore

I agree. I'm a fan of Makachev, but Conor does has a chance against him. Khabib looks physically stronger than Islam. I think, as an overall martial artist, Islam is more skilled, but Khabib is so overpowered in grappling, few "well-rounded" athletes will be able to take Khabib out. It will take an overwhelming specialist in one category, or flash KO to beat him. Makachev can be beat on the feet, amd potentially overpowered on the ground, despite his strong wrestling.

If Makachev could push a little more one-punch KO danger into his game, he could be a very strong champion. I still think that Islam could be a champion with what he has, just not as dominant as Khabib, and definitely beatable.

I'm a makachev fan too. I don't think very highly of him as others do. People have it in their head that's he's the heir to the throne of khabib when Khabib retires. I think he's at best, he's a one time champion, and he loses it. History dictates that LW is a hot-potato. Khabib is one of the greats. Islam can be a champion, but I don't think dominant champion. I think it would have to line up for him, the way it did for eddie, rda, and pettis when they won their respective titles.

I think Conor would be the favorite. Khabib took conors shots and ate a few clean left ones and kept coming forward. I don't see islam being able to do that.
 
Islam's best win was against watered-down tibau, now we expect him to step to conor and whip conor. Islam has beaten no body. I like the guy but come on. Let him beat a top 10 guy first before talking about title, money fights and so forth. He's beaten nobody and also got knocked out by a nobody. I would prefer if guys stop ducking him though. Extremely frustrating as a fan to hear something is lined up but then it falls apart. I can't imagine how he must feel. I'd be pissed as hell.

Al needs to fight Islam or kevin lee. Stop bullshitting and fight the man.
